| 1 | PIPING WORK: Procurement, Supply, Transportation, handling, laying, fabrication, erection, welding, threading, bolting, testing, pre-commissioning & commissioning of M.S. pipes (as per IS:3589/IS 1239) includes fittings & flanges along with supply of necessary stud-nuts,washers, gaskets (with 100% SPARE QUANTITY for gaskets) etc. Job also includes the activities like cutting, edge preparation of pipes, aligning, positioning, welding, Radiography testing of 10% ( For A/G piping of each size) of joints, 100% (For U/G Piping), 100% DP test for root run and laying & alignment of the pipe above ground on pedestal and underground at the road crossing through hume pipe, overhead on trestle, connecting with necessary fittings complete such as Flanges, Reducers, Tees, Bends, Branching, Padding etc. and making connection from Fire Water Pumps House to hydrant network, surface preparation, painting and commissioning of the piping complete system. Radiography testing of 10% of shop joints and 10% of field joints to be carried out for size wise. All joints of buried pipeline shall be radiographed. Hydraulic test @ 19.8 Kg/cm2 for 4(Four) hours for the pipelines is necessary. All pipes, fittings, flanges and joints above ground are to be surface preparation by blasting & painted as per painting specifications given in tender. The cost towards radiography, surface preparation by blast cleaning (using slag/shots) & painting shall be paid separately as per schedule of rates indicated elsewhere in this S.O.R, whereas the cost of all other tests shall be included in the rates quoted. For Above ground piping complete with RCC support, flanges, nuts bolts, gaskets hydro test etc as per specification. Cost of RCC/Other supports will be paid separately as per civil SOR item. Non Metal Flat Gasket : B16.21 CL150 RF Graphite 316 SS mesh tang inserted, 1.6MM Thick Stud Bolt & 2 Hex Nut: B18.2.1 A 193 B7 / A 194 2H Punched Washer Type “A” 2mm thk. IS 2016. Note: Gaskets, Stud & nuts for fixing of valves and Strainer are not included in this item and same is included in respective item of SOR. The Piping works include Supply & Erection of pipes, fittings, flanges, stud-nut, gasket, reinforcing pads etc. Transportation of all piping elements from storage point to work site/shop including, cleaning, stacking, prefabrication/ fabrication at shop and/or site, erection, joining by threading, bolting, welding, hydro testing, flushing and blowing, seal/leak testing and making ready for commissioning as per drawings, specifications, standards, codes, instruction of OWNER/OWNER\"s representative and scope of work defined in Tender. Fabrication & Edge preparation for butt weld as per ASME B 31.3, tack welding, and final welding of Fire Hydrant pipelines including pipe fittings (3 runs minimum) with supply of approved electrodes/consumables. Welding of CS SORF flanges & socket welded flanges on the Fire Hydrant pipelines including setting, positioning, welding with min. three runs outside and one inside, all leads & lifts etc., complete as per specifications and instructions at site. | 3 | Radiography of Piping Works: The unit rate to include cost of film, its developing charges and cost of taking radiographs etc., labour, supervision, overheads/profits scaffolding, dark room, radiograph viewer, overheads/ profits etc. Payment shall be made only for those films which are found suitable after examination and for joints found acceptable as per codes, standards & enquiry specification. Films for defective joints shall not be paid for Re-taking of radiography due to defective welds/ defective films/ defective workmanship etc., will be to contractor\"s cost. NOTES: 1. Bidder shall consult with IOCL /IOCL\"S Representative before execution of radiography for lengths and width of the film to be used. 2. | 4 | Surface Preparation & Painting of pipeline: Complete supply of all the painting materials, cleaning, surface preparation, application, testing and retouching with paints for piping, flanges, valves etc. as per following painting specification, scope of work and directions of engineer in-charge. The rate to include cost of all consumable, overheads and profits, labour and materials required for this job. Activities involved are : Grit blasting of surfaces, Primer application, Intermediate coat, Finish Paint coat. Touch-up shall be done after erection. The erected piping surface shall be thoroughly cleaned before application of touch and final paint.
