M&L for detailed structural audit and Non destructive type testing to be carried out by any of IIT/NIT or any Specialist agency approved by E-in-C Branch for over head reservoirs No. 01, 08, 12, 16, 18 & 19 at different locations as specified in following steps and testing procedures:-

Rebound hammer test : Conducting rebound hammer test as per IS 13311 (Part-2), ASTM C 805.The rebound hammer test shall be conducted at all those points where UPV test has been performed.

Ultra -Sonic Pulse Velocity Test: Conducting Ultra -Sonic Pulse velocity (UPV) test at selected locations on RCC members of the structures covered under the study by making 300 mm x 300mm c/c grids to know about the homogeneity and quality of concrete.The test shall be performed as per IS 13311 (Part-I) / ASTM C-597

Core extraction and testing : Extracting the concrete core samples of 75 mm diameter and 100-150 mm length (approx) at select locations from RCC members of the structures covered under the study and evaluating the properties in the laboratory from the core samples selected.IS 456:2000:IS 516:1959, IS 1199:2002, ASTM C-42.

Cut and Pull out (CAPO) Test - as per ASTM C 900.

Concrete resistivity Test: Measuring the concrete resistivity/surface potential at select locations on RCC members of the structures covered under the study to understand the extent of reinforcement corrosion.

Carbonation Test: Measurement of carbonation depth by Phenolphthalein spray test at select locations on RCC members of the structures covered under the study to see the depth of carbonation.

Ferro scanning: To measure the cover of the structural member.

Physical condition Assessment: This shall include physical condition of OHSR such as painting , accessibility for cleaning, conditions of stairs, manhole cover, ventilation, all pipes with sizes , material of pipes, valves with sizes, whether pipes and valves are functional etc.Reason for non usage of the OHRs should also be evaluated and documented.(Format should be developed and shall be submitted to GE for approval prior to the survey)

Reporting: Preparing and submitting comprehensive report consisting of test data, interpretation of results, conclusions and recommendations for remedial measures, methodology of repairs, rehabilitation and retrofitting of structures, the draft costed schedule, target enhanced life of building/structure and including the details from S No. 1.01 to 1.07 .The recommendations for structural repairs and rehabilitation to the structures to make it fit for use shall have detailed technical specifications and materials to be used complete all as specified and as directed.

Note:- (i) Cost for providing transportation to Bathinda and back and visit of OHRs during testing procedure and Boarding & lodging to testing team is deemed to be included in quoted rates.(ii) Cost of surface preparation for testing at OHR and providing of machinery like Hydra, Crane etc is deemed to be included in quoted rates
