The outer diameter shall be 20mm. the wire diameter shall be 2.5mm and number or coils shall be 18. COVER PLATES: Two sides and one top cover plates shall be provided to protect the feed rollers as wall for proper mounting of the worm and worm gears. Both the side plates shall be attached to a tie rod.The rod shall be of minimum 225mm in length and both endsshall be threaded. The top cover plates shall have 11 full teeths. SHEAR PLATES: A rectangular plate with top open shall be attached at the front of the feed rollers. The width and height of the plate when measured internally shall be minimum 209 and 105mm respectively. The shearplate shall have 12 full teeths. BACK PLATE: There shall be one back plate fitted in between two side plates at the rear. The length of one back plate shall be 12 teeths in back plate. FEEDING THROUGH:A rectangular ortrapezoidal through shall be attached on the rear of the shear plate.The through shall be detachable provision for changing the angle of placement of through shall be provided.The through on the shear plate side shall be covered upto a minimum of 450mm. The total length of the through shall be minimum of 900mm. STAND: Stand shall consist of four legs, leg supports and one finger in each leg. The leg shall be made of angle section of minimum 50x50x3mm size. The leg support may be detachable or reverted with the leg.The fingers maybe a separate component attached to the leg or may be made by taking out at the bottom of each leg.The minimum total height length and width of the stand shall not be less than 800mm, 1000mm and 260mm respectively. In one of the leg a circle of 10mm shall be provided at a point coinciding with the hole made in the rim of fly. TOTAL WEIGHT; Total weight of the chaff cutter with stand shall be approx. 88kgs. +- 2%. ALLOWABLE DEVIATIONS: For dimensions without specified tolerance shall be as given in IS: 2102-1969. b) OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 1.The power transmission gears should beenclosed and should be run in an oil through. 2. Provision shall be provided to change the inclination oftheplaneof the cutting knives to the planeof rotation of fly wheel to avoid feed interference. 3. The bearing shall be completely enclosed and shall have provision of lubrication. 4. Provision to change the direction of rotation of feed rollers should be provided. 5. Hooks at suitable places maybe provided for fitting the chaff cutter for easy movement. 6. A bolt shall be fitted in both the holes (hole of leg and hole of flywheel) and tightened with bolt nut so that the flywheel shall not move when not in work. 7. The maximum height of cranking from ground level shall be within 800 to 900mm. The cranking radius shall be 250 to 300mm.All the three sides of shears plates shall be in one plate. 9. The blade shall confirm to IS: 1511-1979. 10. Operational manual giving operational, maintenance assembly instructions and adjustments shall be supplied by the manufacturers with each cutter, instructions for safe operation of the chaff cutter should also be provided. 11. Top a) required to open all the nut and bolts of chuff cutter shall be supplied. c) WORKMANSHIP AND FINISH: 1. All the components of the chaff cutter shall be free from cracks and such other defects that may be deter mental for their use. 2. The cast Iron components shall not be prous, welding, if done, shall be painted if required. d) MARKING AND PACKING: 1. Marking: Each chaff cutter shall be marked with the following particulars:- a) Manufacturers name of registered trade mark andb) Code and batch number. I.A. minimum cautioner notice in accordance to IS: 9020-1979 clause 7.2 shall be written in vernacular language legibility and prominently either on the main body of the chaff cutter or on a level fixed thereon. .2 PACKING: For case in packing for transportation the chaff cutter shall be dismantled in suitable sub assemblies.The packing shall be done as agreed to between the purchase and the supplier, with oil cover.
