| 1 | Excavation inearth work in hilly area all heights and depths in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precaution against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution etc. and protect stability of hill side, track shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out of rock(where blasting isprohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for rural road and clause 1603.1 & 1603.2 (One thousand six hundred three point one & One thousand six hundred three point two) to achieve designed formation width includingand stacking of material useful for constrction at suitable sites and safe disposal & dumping to be arranged by the contractor of unsuitable cut material in specified manner, timmimg, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimension or as directed by the Engineer-in -Charge for smooth riding. The recovery of the stones whether useful or not, for 1625.48 cum (One thousand six hundred twenty five point forty eight) in any case failing which recovery @170/- per cum shall be effected on pro-data basis.Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to duly compensated by him in all cases. |
