Material and labour for DIbbling and developing of lawn with first quality KOREAN GRASS of approved superior quality by excavating the lawn area to a depth not exceeding 45cm in any type of soil, treating the ground surfaces with approved insecticides and filling with a mixture of approved red soil, cattle yard manure (or) vermin compost and river sandin 1:2:4 proportion and laying thickly matted Korean Grass turf, ramming to the required levels, spreading river sand and treating the surface with insecticides at recommended doses and irrigating with water including cost of grass, river sand, red earth, manures/ vermin compost and insecticides and removing the excavated earth to a distance not exceeding 50m and deposited and levelled complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Planting and developing shrubs with different varieties of plants mentioned below by excavating pits in any type of soil to a size not less than 500mm x 500mm x 500mm, providing pest control by spraying insecticides and fungicides, filling the pits with a mixture of sand, manure and red earth in 1:2:5 proportion including cost of plants, red earth, sand, manures and pesticides and removing the surplus excavated earth to a distance not exceeding 50m and deposited and levelled complete all as specified and as directed.

Notes:(i) The rate quoted shall be deemed to include the cost of manure, pesticides and fertilizers, cost of plants required for replacement of dried/ dead plants/ grass/ trees and cost of red earth for topping up.(ii) Water shall be supplied free of cost forPlanting of Korean grass /Plants only of well developed plants/ grass provided vide Sl. Item Nos. 1 & 2 of this BOQ. However the Contractor has to make necessary arrangements for irrigation from the water point given by suitable method at site without any extra cost to the department.
