| 1 | Excavation in earth work inhilly areas in all heights and depths in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohobited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, widths, camber, super elevation and level as shown in the drawingsor as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specifications for Rural Road, August 2004 andclause 16.2 of general conditions for contract ot achievedesigned formation width including hauling and stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal dumping to be arranged by the contractor of un-suitable cut materials in specified manner, trimming,filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimentions including disposal of surplus materials with all leads and lifts at the locations specified in the tender documents or as directed by theEngineer-In-Charge for smooth riding.The recovery of the stone, whether useful or not, for 1645.69 cum. In all cases,@ Rs. 170/-only per Cum. Shall be effected on prorta basis. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of execution shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases. |
