| 4 | (a) TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION.Automatic Hangar Door :-Clear Width 30000mmClear Height 10000mm (i) Door Configuration: When the door is operated for either OPEN or CLOSE positions, individual leaf shall start and move to the parking bay or close position. Each leaf / sections shall move to the extremities and automatically stop at its preset electrical limit. Each leaf should be operatable independently.(ii) Pass door / Pedestrian door/ Wicket door01 Nos per Door A pass door / wicket door shall be provided of approximate size 1000mm x 2100mm to enable personal access.Personal door shall be provided with safety sensor system to prevent Hangar Door leaf operation when personal door is open. The door cladding shall be of same as the the door-leaf cladding. (b) DOOR DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION. (i) Wind Pressure:Door leaves and tracks to be designed to withstand local wind pressures which are calculated in accordance with IS 875 Part 3 (ii) Structural Design :Major structural elements of the sliding door system to be designed in accordance with IS 800: 2007 “Code of practice for generalconstruction in steel. (iii) Door leaf construction: Main structural members of the door leaf to be fabricated from hot rolled Universal Beam sections in accordance with EN 10210 Part2: 2006 to minimum Grade S275 in accordance with EN 10025: 2004 and EN 10210 Part 1: 1994 or equivalent standard. Thestructure is braced with Suitable dia. MS Round pipe & enitre external face of the door is covered with 0.5mm precoated corrugated galvalume sheet(Total painted thickness).Prefabricated door at Site connections to be bolted only using minimum Grade 10.9 bolts, zinc plated and de-embrittled.(c) BUILDING DEFLECTIONS :The track and top roller assembly of sliding door are coordinated such that the roller can also support itself whilst moving along the track and top tracks are able to accommodate live load deflections. The track and top roller assembly are coordinated such that the roller can also support itself while moving along the track (against its own dead weight and wind loads).The top track system shall be designed to limit the inclination of the door leaves due to: discontinuity of bottom rail, high friction of bottom rail, blockage of bottom rail. |
| 5 | (d)PROTECTIVE COATING TO STRUCTURAL STEEL MEMBERS:All MS structural steel members of the sliding door shall be with two coats of epoxy paint over one coat of epoxy primer after sand blasting. Thickness of two coats ofepoxy paint shall be minimum 60-80 microns and thickness of epoxy primer shall be 25-40 microns .Total coating thicknessminimum 100 microns .(e) DOOR CLADDING SYSTEM : The entire external face of the door is covered with principal cladding of 0.5mm thick precoated corrugated galvalume cladding sheet with standard finish (Total painted thickness)(f)DOOR SEALS:- All seals are designed to resist draught and dust. - All vertical joints between leaves on adjacent tracks and the two end jambs are fitted with single EPDM wiper seals set in aluminium extrusions. At the jambs, suitable members are to be provided by others against which these seals mate. - Weather seals are typically secured using zinc-plated mild steel self-tapping or self-drilling screws.(g) BOTTOM WHEELS AND BOTTOM TRACKS:- Each leaf is supported at the bottom on 2 Nos. heavy duty double-flanged steel track wheels. Wheels to be made up of high quality steel ST 52-3. Housing of wheels shall be of high quality steel confirming to ST 52-3/FE 540 WHT. (i) HARDWARE -BOTTOM OF DOOR: Each door leaf is to be supported at the bottom on suitable nos. of steel track wheels of suitable diameter as per design requirement arranged so that both horizontal and vertical loads shall be transferred to the rail only through the bearing. Grease points are to be provided for wheel bearings. Bottom rails shall be made of ISMC with MS bar. (ii) HARDWARE -TOP OF DOOR:The top track section itself shall be a suitable UB/ ISMB Section as per design requirement which is hot-formed steel in accordancewith EN 10025: 2004 or equivalent. The top track section shall be designed to accommodate all loads imposed upon it. Furthermore,local buckling of the section due to maximum roller loads on the walls of the section shall not be permitted.Each panel supported at top with suitable diameter. top roller assembly & will have suitable Nos of top rollers. Roller shall be inherently corrosion resistant (i.e. Zinc plated Mild steel) and mounted on low friction/sealed bearings which will require no regular lubrication.(iii) BUFFERS: Heavy duty energy absorbing buffer stops are to be fitted at the extremities of the bottom tracks to prevent leaves over-running theends of their tracks during towing / manual mode operation. These are to be designed to eliminate any trip hazard that might otherwise occur. At the end of Top tracks mechanical stoppers are provided. |
| 6 | (h) DRIVE UNIT:For the purposes of power operation, each individual door leaf shall be fitted with its own drive unit. 3-Phase Electric Motor ofsuitable rating shall drive each leaf depending on site requirement with IEC classification IP55 or above & minimum thermalprotection of 155(F). The drive transmission between the motor and the drive wheel shall be through a chain-sprocket assembly.Drive units should comprise a squirrel cage motor with integral magnetic brake and a high efficiency helical-bevel or helical-worm reducing gearbox, driving the bottom wheel(s) through a roller chain. Speed of movement not morethan 0.2 m/sec Overlap of doors -50mm(j)TRAP DOOR: Each drive unit shall be fully enclosed in a removable casing (Trap Door) which is easily accessible from the inside of the hangar viahinged or removable access covers. Drive unit access covers shall be interlocked so that the leaf cannot be driven under power unless all are closed.(k) MANUAL OPERATION:In the event that manual operation is required, a simple system which allows towing operation by powered vehicle e.g. fork truck / with a effort of 40Kg(l) DOOR CONTROL SYSTEM :-The sliding door control systems are to be designed to comply with EN 12453: 2001, “Industrial, commercial and garage doors and gates – Safety in use of power operated doors – Requirements”. (The main electrical control equipment for each leaf shall be housed in a standard steel electrical cabinet to IEC classification IP55 as defined in EN 60529:1992). The cabinet shall be mounted inside the bottom section of the door leaf. All other principal electrical controls including limit switches and door sensors shall be fitted at low level for ease of maintenance. Each leaf is to be fitted at each end with a pendant push button. Push buttons and pendants shall be to IEC classification IP65 as defined in EN 60529:1992. The pendant is mounted to the end of the door leaf on a cord about 2 metres long that allows the operator to move from side to side to see where the door is being driven. The pendants are to be hung up on hooks when not in use. Buttons provided should include (as a minimum): “MOVE” button; “EMERGENCY STOP” button; “DOOR CLOSED” indicator light, to indicate when a leaf has reached its fully closed position. The push button system shall ensure that door leaves can only be operated from their leading edge i.e. not allow any door to be reversed. All door leaves should be capable of being automatically slowed (using an inverter control system) and then stopped in both their fully open or fully closed positions. In addition, all necessary limit switches to provide automatic stopping in both the fully open and fully closed positions are to be provided. |
| 7 | Electronic devices should be provided which ensure that door leaves operating on the same track cannot collide with one another when being operated under power. Door control system shall include a device to measure and limit the vertical inclination of the door leaf during opening and closing.(l) SAFETY AND WARNING DEVICES.Each leaf is to be fitted on the inside face with an audible and a visual alarm. The alarms are to operate for a short period before aleaf starts to move. Interlock switches are to be fitted to any access covers for drive units and electrical control panel doors, to prevent their leaf being used while these are open.(m) SAFTY GUARD.Each leaf shall be provided with suitable nos of cleats at Top & Bottom designed of suitable dimension which shall be capable ofwithstanding the weight of the door including incase rollers become free/ fails /break then door shall not fall from its rails. (n) All ball bearings to be of SKF/KOYO/WACNI(o) Acoustic and Visual Warning Devices: Each door leaf is equipped with one flash bulb with acoustic signal (interval sound of 70 dBA) as combined unit (type BEZT-24V AC DC or similar).These are attached by means of a solid flash bulb support made of galvanised steel to one of the vertical frame sections at thr inside of the door system.The best installation position shall be defined together with the customer.When operating the push button ,the door leaf is to be operated and the respective danger signal is in operation hereby the operating status of each door element should be widely signalled acoustically and optically. (p) Emergency Stop: Emergency stop buttons are provided on each of the leading door leaves and at the both sides of the door frame to enable a complete control on the door system in case of any emergency. When the emergency stop device is activated, the stop distance of the door leaf within the overrun distance of the safety edge control device and corresponds to DIN EN 12 453(q) Electrical Operatipon: The electrical operation of each door shall be carried out from pendent mounted on doors. The operator shall have to keepthe OPEN or CLOSE push button pressed to enable the door to operate.At each extremity the door shall automatically STOP, as the control power shall be cut off through limit/proximity switches.An EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON(STAY-PUT-TYPE) shall also be provided on the control panel. Key operation: - An operating key switch shall be provided on each control panel to prevent unauthorised operation of the doors. |
