164.2 The overall size of the Work Bench shall be 2500mm (W) x 1200mm (D) X 750mm(H) 164.3 It is designed such that it looks minimal yet takes care of every little detail. The understructure of this system comprises of leg assemblies and cross connectors. Over this matrix of legs and cross connectors, the work surfaces are fixed 164.4 Components 164.4.1 Main Leg Assembly: The main legs used in the entire system are fabricated by CO2 welded MS tube of section 50 mm x 50 mm x 5 mm thick (as per IS: 7138 ERW). This shall be powder coated with average 50 to 60 micron thickness of epoxy powder coating, as per approved shade. This shall be connected to the cross members & to the work surface 164.4.2 Cross Connector These are the supporting members which span across the leg assemblies and form the understructure of workstation. These shall be fabricated by CO2 welded MS tube of section 50 mm x 50 mm x 5 mm thick (as per IS:7138 ERW) 1 42.4.3 Worksurfaces: 164.4.3.1 Worktop 25 mm Thick laminated with PVC edge band. 164.4.3.2 Work top shall be made of 25mm thick & 1 mm thicl formica laminated Ply wood Top grade (As per IS: 12823). Bottom shall have a backing laminate of minimum 0.6mm thickness. All the edges of work surface shall be provided with machine pressed 2 mm thick PVC Edge band glued with hot melt EVA glue. 164.4.3.3 Underside of the work surface shall be screwed to cross connectors and leg assembly. 164.5 Finish: 164.5.1 Epoxy Polyester Powder to the thickness of minimum 50 – 60 microns (+/-10). 164.5.2 Process: The body including understructure, framework, legs, storage pedestal including fittings involves an 8 step powder coating process consisting of antirust surface treatment viz.

93.2 Materials 93.2.1 Webbing All belts and harnesses shall be made from nylon or other synthetic materials, such as polyester. The material shall have a uniform thickness and uniform width. The waist belt, shoulder straps, hoisting straps, pole straps and all types of safety belts and harnesses shall be made from nylon/polyester webbing. The test specimen shall be of entire cross section whose minimum width and thickness should be 40 mm and 3 mm respectively. All the materials used in the production of webbing and rope shall pass the flammability tests as given in Annex A. 93.2.2 Threads for Sewing Threads for sewing the load bearing components shall have similar physical and chemical properties to that of the materials being sewn. Number of stitches shall be not less than 3 per cm and the type of thread shall be synthetic fibre such as nylon, polyester etc. The threading shall be of different colour from that of webbing in order to facilitate visual inspection. 93.2.3 Rivets and Washers All rivets and washers if used for joining the various sections shall be made from copper. 93.2.4 Life Line/Safety LineOnly nylon, polyester or synthetic fibre shall be used. The breaking load shall be a minimum of 19.6 kN (or approx 2 000 kg) when tested in accordance with test method reference. 93.2.5 Working at height The length of lanyard shall not be more than 3 m in length subject to the condition that free fall shall not be more than 1.8 m
