Name of Work: Urgent restoration works to the RC-18 road from Guduvaiyar Bridge toKumaramangalam Bridge, RC-19 road from Pudukuppam Junction toEmbalam Junction and RC-20 road from Pudukadai State border to EmbalamJunction in Nettapakkam Commune, Puducherry
Sl. No. Item Description
1Scarifying existing stone metal layer up to 75mm thick along with their bituminous surface, picking up scarified material and stacking of old serviceable material within a lead of 100m sequential spreading the salvage aggregates with fresh aggregates on prepared base and consolidating as per water bound macadam specification. As per clause no 404 of MOST specification.
2Cleaning of the existing black topped surfaces with brooms, soft brushes and finally dusting with old gunny bags and/or compressed air to receive bituminous treatment. As per clause no 503.3.1 of MOST specification.
3Providing and applying tackcoat on the prepared surface, heating bitumen in boiler and spraying the bitumen with sprayset fitted on bitumen boiler - on black topped surface bitumen @ 5kg/10sqm.
4Providing, laying and rolling of built-up spray grout layer over prepared base consisting of a two layer composite construction of compacted crushed coarse aggregates using motor grader for aggregates. Key stone chips spreader may be used with application of bituminous binder after each layer and with key aggregates placed on top of the second layer to serve as a base conforming to the line, grades and cross-section specified ,the compacted layer thickness being 75mm. (As per MoRTH specification, 4th Revision)
5Providing and laying open graded premix carpet 20mm thick on prepared surface in a single course as wearing course composed of specified size of stone aggregates premix with a bituminous binder in mini hot mix plant 6 to 10 tonne laying manually and rolling with power roller 8 to 10 tonne but excluding cost of primer/tack coat. As per clause no 509 of MOST specification.
6Providing and applying liquid seal coat, type `A\" comprising of a layer of bituminous binder, followed by a cover of stone chipping of specified grading and rolling with power roller 8 to 10 tonne. As per clause no 513 of MOST specification.
