Re-assembling of all the parts and applying fresh coat of grease to all the parts of winch machine. Oiling to rollers which includes shaft, lock pin, roller, etc. Tighteningof nuts and bolts of seals and guide hoisting including removal of old grease from the threaded stem rod, cleaning it properly andthen applying fresh coat of grease, cleaning of sill beam etc. Checking the manual operation of the gate by lifting and lowering it 2-3 times. The job also includes cleaning, reconditioning of drain valves, air release valves, sluice valves etc. by greasing / oiling and replacement of damaged parts if any. The job includes cost of materials such as jute rope, bamboo baskets, ladders, Tools & tackles and labour engaged for the execution of job. 7 Routine Repair and maintenance of 02 no. Electrically and 05 no. manually operated gates of CHEP-II by way of complete cleaning of all parts by using petrol ,dhoti cloth, brush etc. after complete dismantling. Oiling to chain sprocket arrangement and rollers which includes shaft, lock pin, roller, etc. Replacement of gear oil in reduction gearbox. Removal of old cadmium compound / grease from the steel wire rope, cleaning it properly andthen applying fresh coat of cadmium compound. Cleaning of sill beam. Replacement of damaged/burnt out contractors switches, fuses, indicators etc. The job also includes complete dismantling of winch machine of manually operated gates which include pinion, gear, gun metal bushes, etc. and cleaning of all parts by using petrol ,dhoti cloth, brush etc. Applying fresh coat of grease to all the parts of winch machine of the manually operated gates and then assemble it properly. The job also includes reconditioning of the expansion joints of the penstock by way of cleaning of old oil/ grease, rust , dust etc. with the help of kerosene oil/ petrol, dhoti cloth and then plugging of leakages including proper torqueing of the nuts/studs and bolts of the expansion joints and manholesto maintain adequate pressure in the penstockrequired it he power house to run the turbines. Replacement of rusted/damaged nuts and bolts, fitting of the valves in their original positions. Checking their operations by opening and closing 2-3 times to ensure smooth flow of discharge.
