8B. GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION ON LAND
9Survey work for establishing coordinates and RL at all test location with reference to nearby benchmark including deployment o survey instrument and personnel.
10Boring 150 mm dia. through all kinds of soils including laterite upto refusal (N>100) with adequate / suitable equipment for depths measured below existing ground level including backfilling of borehole log with 1:1 cement grout as per specification:
11For Depths of 0 – 10m
12For Depths of 10m – 20m
13For Depths of 20m – 30m
14Boring through hard laterite / weathered rock and soft (disintegrated) rock using Nx size Tungsten Carbide bit, diamond bit using double tube core barrel with suitable core catcher and collecting the rock cores in wooden boxes in a proper sequence.
15Conducting Static Cone Penetration Tests at locations as specified in drawing as per IS 4968 (Part III) with mechanical driven equipment up to depths specified or refusal whichever is first
16Conducting Standard Penetration tests and collecting the disturbed samples. Number and frequency of testing / sampling shall be as per technical specifications
17Obtaining 90mm diameter 450mm long undisturbed samples from bore holes and sealing the container Number and frequency of testing / sampling shall be as per technical specifications
18Excavating trial pits of size 1.5m x 1.5m and 3m deep (pit) or rock level whichever is earlier, at locations as specified including conducting pocket penetrometer tests in cohesive soils, with necessary shoring, dewatering as required, etc, field density tests, collecting bulk disturbed samples from test pits and trial pits. AND backfilling of trial pits with proper compaction by the excavated material complete.
19Carrying out Static Plate load test on a plate size of min. 600 mm square / 600 mm diameter rigid plate at 3m depth including excavation and backfilling, providing kentledge, with necessary shoring, dewatering as required, etc. (Note:The test shall be conducted at 3m depth or or refusal to manual/light machine excavation using a square plate size of min. 600mm upto a loading intensity of 100t/m2 or 25mm settlement of plate or shear failure whichever is encountered earlier.)
20Carrying out Field CBR tests at various locations, and depth, all complete as per specifications and directions of the Engineer
