Type of Bit: “A” (One piece bit, Biwing)3. Nominal diameter:27mm4. Bit body should shall allow an unrestricted flow of cuttings away from the Bit.5. Attachment to the rod shall be streamlined6. Tip shall be firmly brazed to the body of the bit.7. Threaded length: 18mm, ½” BSW Threads suitable to fix in drill rods8. Shank & body: High tensile steel 0.55%carbon (Minimum)9. Hardness: 210 HV(Min.) for bit body10. Tips:a) Tip: Tungsten carbide H grade.b) Conforming to IS:4005-1967c) Hardness: 1450 to 1550 HVd) Composition: 7% to 8% cobalte) Predominating grain size: 1 to 3 umf) Free from porosity, Eta- phase, pittingg) Nominal Size: 27mm , DRILL ROD 25MM DIA 1800MM LENGTH - DRILL ROD 25MM DIA 1800MM LENGTHA) Drill rods shall have right hand twisting.B) The raw steel for these drill rods shall be high tensile steel of grade 40SiMnCrNiMo with Minimum Hardness of 32-44 HRC to suit dry Drilling in UG Mines.C) Outside Diameter 25mm and inner core diameter will be 19mmD) The diameter of the shank shall be 19mm and length 70mm.E) The length of drill rods as measured excluding shank for drill chuck shall be 1800mmF) Accommodation of Drill Bits: ½ BSW thread shall be provided to accommodate 27mm dia drill bits with threaded end ½” dia.G) Adapter of 39.7mm diameter x 22mm long shall be provided for holding the rod in drill chuck H) Drill rods shall be suitably electroplated to thickness of 50-100 microns to provide a surface hardness of 65 to 86 HRC and to facilitate removal of gumming and stone particles during drilling operation.I) Make / trade make of the drill rods shall be punched on the shank.
