STRAIGHT SHAFTED PILESof 500 mm DIAMETER and specified length below the pile cap with M35 grade concrete, using Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) 53 grade conforming to IS: 12269 (latest Rev.) of approved makewith a minimum cement content of 400kg/Cu.m. and stone chips of 20mm and down size, through all types of stratato carry a safe working load not less than specified including confirming that pile rests on hard strata having Nvalue greater than or equal to 100,excluding the cost of steel reinforcement but including the cost of boring with Hydraulic Rotary Drilling rigs using direct/reverse mud circulation method, hydraulic operated grab,maintaning borehole sides in position by bentonite slurry by direct mud circulation method, tremie concreting and temporary casing of appropriate length for setting out and removal of same and the length of the pile to be embedded in the pile cap etc. This also includes supply of necessary material including admixtures, plastisizers if required(quantity as permix design report recommendation) & carrying out any ancillary work adjunct to piling work, disposal of surplus materials including earth, muck at designated place within the refinery premises upto a lead of 3kmwith all leads and lifts, shifting plant and equipments from one pile location to another, mobilising & demobilising of required number of piling/boring rigs & ancillary equipments, tools, tackles & labour all complete, as per specifications, drawings & directions of Engineer-in-charge etc.Note: 1) Payment length shall be measured below the cut off level.Maximum cut off level will be 600mm from the EGL.No payment shall be made for the empty boring made above cut off level .2) Minimum 2 Nos. of piling rigs to be mobilised.
2Empty Boring for 500mm dia. vertical piles,measured below the cut-off level till the distance,where boring had to be terminated due to occurrence of existing piles/stone columns at the proposed pile location.This includes the cost of boring with rotary/percussion type drilling rigs using direct/reverse mud circulation method, hydraulic operated grab,maintaining borehole sides in position by bentonite slurry by direct mud circulation method, and temporary casing of appropriate length for setting outetc.including refilling the bore upto the existing ground level with available excavated earth.This also includes carrying out any ancillary work adjunct to boring work, disposal of surplus materials including earth, muck generated at designated place within the Refinery premises upto a lead of 3kmwith all leads and lifts, mobilising & demobilising ofpiling/boring rig & ancillary equipments, tools, tackles & labour all complete, as per directions of Engineer-in-charge etc.
3Supplying and placing in position HIGH STRENGTH DEFORMED STEEL BARS REINFORCEMENT (conforming to IS:1786, Grade Fe500), for 500mm dia RCC bored cast-in-situ piles for full length of pile, with helical ties, including transporting the Steel, straightening, cleaning, decoiling, cutting, bending to required shapes and lengths as per details, binding it in positionby 16 SWG black soft annealed binding wire, at every intersection, supplying and placing with proper cover blocks, supports, chairs, overlaps, spacers, inner rings welding to main longitudinal rods to form a rigid cage for all heights and depths, guide bar etc. complete as per the specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
4Conducting STANDARD PENETRATION TESTS in soil, weathered rock, soft rock and hard rock during boringfor 500mm diameter pile as directed, at every change in stratum or at intervals of not more than 1.5m which ever is less,starting at 15m below ground level as directed by Engineer-in-charge, including using a new SPT shoe for each test.
5CUTTING THE HEADS OF RCC PILES of500mm dia and a length not exceeding 600mm including exposing/cleaning, bending of the reinforcements making site clean for casting of pile cap, removal and disposal of debris at designated place within the refinery premises up to a lead of 3km all complete as per the specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
6Conducting INITIAL VERTICAL PILE LOAD TEST by direct loading on piles including finishing pile head, supply & erection of kentledge of suitable magnitude, labour, excavation, backfilling, compaction, etc. all complete as per the specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge, analysing the results, makingthe report and submitting the same in 3 copies (Excluding cost of pile).
7Conducting INITIAL LATERAL PILE LOAD TEST by direct loading on piles including finishing pile head, supply & erection of kentledge of suitable magnitude, labour, excavation, back filling, compaction etc. all complete as per the specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge, analysing the results, makingthe report and submitting the same in 3 copies (Excluding cost of pile).
8Conducting ROUTINE VERTICAL PILE LOADTEST by direct loading on piles including finishing pile head, supply & erection of kentledge of suitable magnitude, labour, excavation, back filling, compaction etc. all complete as per the specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge, analysing the results, makingthe report and submitting the same in 3 copies (Excluding cost of pile).
9Conducting ROUTINE LATERAL PILE LOADTEST by direct loading on piles including finishing pile head, supply & erection of kentledge of suitable magnitude, labour, excavation, back filling, compaction etc. all complete as per the specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge, analysing the results, makingthe report and submitting the same in 3 copies (Excluding cost of pile).
10EARTHWORK EXCAVATION by mechanical/manual means below ground level for all kinds of works in all types of soils except soft rock and hard rock as classified in specification for a depth up to 1.5m including removal of vegetation, shrubs and debris,removal of surface/rain water, cutting and dressing of sides in slopes, levelling, grading and ramming of bottoms and keeping the surface dry for subsequent works and disposal or stacking of excavated material within a lead of 100m including providing shoring & strutting if required,providing temporary supports to existing service lines like water pipes, sewage pipes, electric cables,OWS/ CRWS pipes,chambers,storm water drain walls etc; all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
11Same as Item No:100 above but for depths beyond 1.5m and upto 3m.
12BACKFILLING after execution of work to proper grade and level with selected materials from available excavated soil from soil heaps within a lead of 100m, including re-excavating the deposited soil excavated earlier, breaking clods, laying at all depths & heights in layers of thickness not exceeding 150mm watering, rolling and ramming by manual methods / mechanical compactors, dressing, trimming, etc., in foundations, trenches, pits, etc. including all labours, tools & tackles etc all complete as per the specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
13TRANSPORTING & DISPOSING the surplus earth & debris including shrubs and vegetations from construction area (beyond the initial lead of 100m) to the designated area within the refinery premises up to a lead of 3kmincluding re-excavating the deposited soil excavated earlier, transportation, loading, unloading, laying at all depths & heights, stacking, levelling and dressing both areas (viz., from where the earth is transported and where it is deposited) to required levels and slopes complete with all lifts as directedby Engineer in Charge.( Note: If measured by stacks 30%voids will be deducted.)
14Supplying and filling approvedM- SAND of specified quality under floors, foundations, pile caps, tank pads, Dyke & Fire walls, Pipe sleepers & supports, walkway platform supports,tank pad filling etc. for all depths & heights including cost of sand, royalties, taxes, handling, loading, unloading, transportation to site for all leads & lifts, stacking, spreading in layers of loose thickness not exceeding 150mm, watering, ramming, compacting with mechanical compactors and/or other equipment to the specified levels , including preparation of subgrade to the required slope, providing testing apparatus and testing the degree of consolidation, all complete as per drawings, specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge. The rates shall be inclusive of the cost of labour, tools and tackles, etc. all complete.
15Providing and laying 75 mm THICK ANTICORROSIVE LAYER sand pad cushionunder steel storage tanks consisting of screened dry coarse sand mixed with VG-10 (80/100) grade bitumen conforming to IS:73 (8 to 10% by volume) including mixing in drum, heating to the required temperature, with 3% kerosene if required, laying in line, grade & levels,tamping, dressing to the required slopes to form hard mass of specified compacted thickness etc. as shown on drawings & as per specification all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
16Providing, mixing and laying of PCC 1:4:8 (1 cement: 4 M-sand : 8 coarse aggregate ) nominal mix using 40mm and downgraded coarse aggregate andOrdinary portland cement 53 grade for any thickness belowfoundations, Pile cap, raft, Grade slab , tank pads, Dyke & Fire walls, Pipe sleepers & supports, walkway platform supports, trenches, pits, drains, fillings, sumps, chambers etc., including shuttering, tamping, ramming, vibrating, curing, etc., all in any shape, position, thickness and finishing the top surface rough or smooth as specified and directed all complete, as per drawings, specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

18Providing, mixing and laying in position RCC of grade M25 with 20mm and down graded coarse aggregates & M-sand as per IS 456:2000 using 53 grade Ordinary Portland Cement in SUB-STRUCTURE of all types e.g.culvert,footings,rafts &pedestals for pipe sleepers & supports, dyke & fire walls, Walk way Platforms, trenches,drains,drain walls,pits etc.including cost of admixtures if used,labour charges,tools and tackles, providing pockets, openings, recesses, chamfering etc., wherever required, vibrating, tamping, curing and rendering if required to give a smooth & even surface and providing neat cement wash etc.,(excluding the Cost ofReinforcement and Shuttering), etc. all complete as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

21Providing and fixing CENTERING & SHUTTERING in SUPER-STRUCTURES - tie beams,columns, walkway slabs,pipe sleepers, platforms, dyke/fire walls, ,valve pits,CBD pits,etc., for all heights including strutting, bracing, propping, keeping the same in position during concreting and removal of the same after specified period, application of mould releasing agents ofapproved make, for Straight/Inclined Shuttering, keeping necessary provision for inserts, projecting dowels, anchor bolts or any other fixture, etc., all complete and as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
22Manufacturing, transporting, supplying and placing in positionPRECAST PCC ELEMENTS of mix1:2:4 (1 cement: 2 M- sand : 4coarse aggregate) as per design & shape for Floor slabs/Tiles inside Tank farm dyke as pavements in regular pattern, etc with 10 mm and down size graded crushed stone aggregates using 53 grade Ordinary Portland Cement(OPC) for all leads, levels, shapes and thickness including all moulds, formwork in precasting, vibrating, tamping, curing, chamfering, wherever required, including flush or deep ruled pointing at joints incement mortar 1:4 (1 cement:4 M- sand) finishing the top surface with cement mortar 1:3( 1 Cement : 3 M-Sand) to give asmooth and even surface or non skid finish as specified,erecting, levelling, aligning and fixing in positionall complete and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
23Providing and fixing of 50mm diaNominal O.D. Size UPVCPIPE conforming to latest revision of IS: 13592for WEEP HOLES in tank pad including fixing of the pipe in RCC wall/ ring beamincluding cutting the pipes to size, jointing the pipes with bonding solution of approved quality, erection of the pipes .Weep Holes shall be provided with suitable filter media for draining during compaction of sand & to be plugged after compaction of sand with necessary tools and tackles,labour charges,material costs all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

26Providing and placing in position suitable PVC WATER STOPS serrated with central bulb(225mm wide, 8-11mm thick) conforming to IS:12200 for construction/expansion joints between two RCC members and fixed to the reinforcement with binding wire before pouring concreteincluding material & labour charges etc.all completeas directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
27Providing and applying approved EPOXY RESINfor bonding of fresh concrete to old concrete in all types of structures such as extension of existing sleepers & pipe supports etc., at all depths and heights including cleaning of concrete surfaces, removing of all loose concrete pieces, making rough by chiselling, taking off the skin of concrete, application of Epoxy Resin System as per manufacture"s recommendations taking all safety measures, etc.complete as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

40Providing necessary BARRICADING WORKS along the northern side of proposed tanks for a height of 5m from the finished ground level with 1mm thick corrugated GI sheets and supporting with necessary structural steel arrangements as per drawings and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge prior to the start of work and dismantling the same after the finish of work.Rate quoted should include mobilisation and erection of the above items at site as per drawings and dismantling the same after the completion of work .However the GI sheets,sand bags & structural members used will be the property of contractor and the same can be taken back after the completion of work.The construction and demolishing of foundation works for the same will be paid separately under relevant items.
41Supply of JCB on hire basis on all days including Sundays on 8 hrs.shift including driver,assistant /fuel/oil/lubricants /all consumables etc. complete. The quoted rate should include mobilization, operator crew"s/driver /assistant cost,tools, tackles etc., as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
42Supply of UNSKILLEDLABOURto carry out petty works not assessable for measurements/minor repair works, on day-to-day basis. The rates shall include ESI, PF, payroll cost and allowances, fringe benefits, overhead supervision, profits andhand tools.
43Excavating TRIAL PITS manually of required size & depth upto 3m at locations as specified with necessary shoring, dewatering & backfillingas required, etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
