| 29 | Part:C: Electrical worksProviding Pit Earthing with coper earth plate of size 600 x 600 x 3mm thick placed vertically in the excavated pit of size 900 x 900 x 3000mm . The plate shall be connected with 50x6 mm GI strips.The bolts,nuts washers shall be copper.The pit shall be filled with charcoal and salt upto (Item No.1 Contd)a depth of 900mm and remaining portion with black soil without stones. The masonry chamber shall be provided at ground level of size 300 x 300 x 300mm with 125 mm thick brick work with bricks of CD 50 in CM 1:4 (1cement:4 coarse sand) made on 700X700X150 mm base concrete 1:4:8 (1-cement:4-coarse sand:8-graded stone aggt. with 40mm nominal size ) with a hole in the middle to pass the GI pipe of 20 mm dia with a provision for funnel and provided withCI frame and cover (wt of cover not less than 4.5 kg/sqm) with locking arrangements. The funnel shall be fixed with wire mesh. The manhole cover shall be painted and marked with the value of earth resitance including measurement of earth resistance by earth megger etc complete as per direction of the E-in-C.The value of earth resiatance should be less than 0.50 O and nothing extra shall be paid for getting extra resiatance less than 0.50 O. |

| 33 | Providing and fixing copper Lightening arrester of 1500mm length, 25mm dia, hollow tube and of wall thickness not less than 1.60 mm including tinning the bottom portion of the spike for a length of not less than 150mm and connecting to the G.I. strip of size 50 x 3mm by means of clamps and 2nos 10mm dia brass bolts and nuts all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. The lightening spike shall be fixed to the tower with Teflon sheet to avoid direct contact with the tower. |
