6 | LAYING & WELDING OF PRODUCT PIPELINE & MONOLITHIC INSULATION JOINTS (MIJs) (UNDER GROUND) IN ZONE A & ZONE B Laying and welding (3 runs min.) under ground/ below ground pipelines from supplied MS pipes (pipes to be supplied anywhere within the depot and the contractor shall shift the same to the site of work at no extra cost withall leads and lifts) of the following sizes as described below, including cutting bevelling and fixing the supplied specials such as elbows, bends tees, reducers etc complete and hydrotesting the pipelines at 10.5 KSC for a minimum period of 4 Hrs. |
7 | The job includes dye penetration (DP) testing of pipeline joints as per approved QAP. Underground pipelines to be laid at a depth as per site condition/ laying throughhume pipes/ culverts & painting the same as detailed in the enclosed specifications. Welding of pipeline should be to Radiography quality. 10% of the joints shall be radiographed and the cost of the same will be paid separately as per respective item etc. and as directed at site. Note: a. Any repairs to the defective welding shall be made good at no extra cost. Re radiography of repaired joint shall also be at contractor"s cost. b. Civil works for laying of UG pipeline laying will be paid separately. |

Wrapping/Coating to be done as per specification given below & detailed specification given in tender document. i) Sand blast to SA 2.5 ii) Apply a coat of primer (Coal Tar and solvent based primer) of density 0.90 to 0.95 gms/cm3 and viscosity of 1000-2000 centipoise (Pypkote primer manufacture by IWL or its equivalent) at the rate of 100 gms/sq.m.The primer shall be allowed to dry until the solvent evaporates and the surface becomes tacky. iii) Pypkote AW 4mm tape is wound around the pipe in spiral fashion and bonded completely to the primer coated surface of the pipe by thermo fusion process and with recommended overlaps as per manufacturers’ specifications.The overlaps are sealed by the same thermo fusion process.250mm is left uncoated on either end of the pipe to permit installation and welding. |

11 | Radiography inspection onproduct pipe joints of all types and thickness including providing all necessary equipment required to perform the work as per our specification and direction of engineer-in-charge. The radiographs shall be submitted to the engineer in charge at site/ third party inspecting agency. Note: Retaking of radiography due to defective welds/ defective films/ defective workmanship etc. will be to contractor"s cost. For every failure, radiography has to be done for three additional joints of same dia. at contractor"s cost. |

18 | Carrying out hydrotest of 28/18 inch dia & 11 KM length Jetty pipelines (3 nos-MS,SKO& HSD) including providing hydrotesting pump, connecting to line for creating 12 kg/sq.cm pressure in pipeline, injecting suitable corrosion inhibitors in recommended doses for hydrotesting with sea water (water to be provided by IOCL Terminal). The job includes providing/positioning of sufficient manpower and qualified supervisor for continuous monitoring and recording the pressure and temperature of line during hydro test for 24 hours. |

20 | Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5m in widthas well as 10 sqm on plan) including taking out and disposal of excavated earth within or outside site to unobjectionable place and lift up to 1.5m, as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Disposed earth to be levelled and neatly dressed. Extra for levelling & neatly dressing of disposed soil completely to be paid separately as per item no. MPLCN00600 |
