| 1 | Rubber Lining Works in Various Plants at FACT-CD, Ambalamedu, Kochi. |
| 2 | Rubber Lining pipes upto 400mm dia by Hot Bonding to 5mm Thick:Work Involves: Calendered natural rubber sheets of2.5mm thick suitable for hot bonding, with required adhesives, solvents, curing agent etc. shall be supplied. Packing, forwarding, transportation, loading / unloading and storage at FACT Cochin Division site, Ambalamedu, Kochi shall be done. Surface preparation shall be done by shot / grit blasting with proper cleaning. Fresh rubber lining shall be applied for pipes up to and including 400-mm diameter by hot bonding method to a thickness of5 mm using two layers of 2.5 mm thick natural rubber sheet as per scope of work detailed in Special Conditions of Contract, General Conditions of Contract and specification sheets attached and curing to get a hardness of 70 plus or minus 5 degree shore A.Sufficient overlap shall be given. Surface preparation,hot bonding, curing, inspection, testing, and safety requirementsetc shall be done as per attached specification sheet No. 030C of FACT -CD. |

Packing, forwarding, transportation, loading / unloading and storage at FACT Cochin Division site, Ambalamedu, Kochi shall be done. Old rubber lining shall be removed completely by chipping,grinding or any acceptable method. Surface preparation shall be done by shot / grit blasting with proper cleaning.Rubber lining / application shall be done with pre-vulcanized natural rubber calandered sheets to a thickness of 2.5mm in one layer of 2.5mm thick by cold bonding method for pipes,ducts, vessels, tanks and equipments like pumps, agitators, fans, valves etc.Sufficient overlap shall be given at all areas.Sufficient overlap shall be given. | 6 | Removal of Rubber Lining:Removal of old rubber lining of all thickness from pipes,ducts,vessels,tanks and equipments like pumps,agitators,fans,valves etc. by any acceptable method in various plants at all height and elevations. All arrangements for rubber removal will be under contractor\"s scope. |
| 7 | Grit Blasting of Equipments:All necessary arrangements for grit blasting shall be done by the contractor. Grit blast as per applicable standards ducts,vessels,tanks and equipments like fans,agitators,pumps and in situ grit blasting of attack scrubber fan in PA Plant. Any in stiu grit blasting required shall also be done by the contractor. |
