Construction Of Bituminous Road (320 Mtr) From Main Gate To Process Area Inside Nkf#Qps With 75 Mm Wbm (2Nd Layers), 20 Mm Premix Including Supply Of All Materials By Contractor Except Bitumen -GROUP A SEC B -1 Supply of approved quality granular materials from approved quarry, freefrom organic matter including stacking in measurable stacks asdirected. 2 Supply of Hand broken hard stone metal from river boulderfairly cubical in shape, free from dust/dirt disingrated pieces, organicand other foreign matters(63mm to 45mm graded) 3 Supply of Broken stone(Boulder broken)(6mm graded down to 2mm), hard andclean . 4 Supply of Broken stone (Boulder broken 12 mm to 6 mm) 5 Supply of Stone crusher dust finer than 3mm with not more than 10%passing 0.075 sieve. GROUP A SEC C 1 Carriage of material by mechanical transport including loadingunloading and stacking Tar Bitumen Beyond 4KM and Upto 5KM, GROUP A SEC A -1 Levelling and dressing road sides and verges including dressing the areaand cutting earth upto 150mm depth and filling depression and breakinglarge earth lumps as directed. 2 Surface dressing of the ground including removing vegetation andinequalities not exceeding 15 cm deep and disposal of rubbish, leadupto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m.All kinds of soil 3 Scarifying Existing Granular Surface to a Depth of 50 mm by ManualMeans (Scarifying the existing granular road surface to a depth of 50mm and disposal of scarified material within all lifts and leads upto1000 metres. ) 4 Collecting / excavating sand, soil, silt, ordinary earth from anysource, load into lorries, transport it to distant place of workincluding procuring earth and laying in layer of 150mm thickness andcompacting, profile properly made for taking measurement, including allmeasurable lead upto 30m and lift as required. (The contractor shall beresponsible for all formalities of supply of earth such as purchase ofland including royalties, monopoly / other statutory taxes as required from any distance.) 5 CONSTRUCTION OF 150MM (CONSOLIDATED) GRANULAR SUBBASEconsolidated by dry rolling to proper grade including providing wellcompacted berms with earth on either side 1.2m wide levelled withfinished road surface, dressing sub-grade including cutting surface upto75mm deep to required level and as per clause 401. (Road rollersupplied by contractor). 6 CONSTRUCTION OF WATER BOUND MACADAM base course 75 mm thick(Wearing course) and Surfacing Course (sealing coat) with loose handbroken metal of size 63mm and graded down to 45mm rolled dry to propercompaction, grade and camber and wet rolling after placing bindage ofloamy earth and finally sealing the compacted surface with a 25mm thicklayer of sand shingles (Ref. to MoRTH Spec.404) and as directed asapplied over new consolidated surface. (Road roller supplied bycontractor).7 LABOUR FOR PRE-MIX CARPETING OF 20 mm THICK WITH CHIPS orpea-gravels and bitumen over a tack-coat after cleaning the road surfacewith wire brush, brush broom and fanning with gunny bag etc., heatingthe bitumen to proper temperature, mixing 12mm and 10mm size chips orpea gravels in the ratio 21 by volume, heating the aggregates suitablyadding bitumen at 9.50Kg per 10 sq. m or 52Kg per cubic metre of 12mmchips or pea gravels and 5.10Kg per 10 sq. m or 56 Kg per cu. m of 10mmchips or pea gravels preferably by other mixer until the chippings orpea gravels are thoroughly coated with binder, spreading the pre-mixwith rakes to the desired thickness and camber immediately afterapplying the tack coat over the existing bituminous surface(Tack coatwill be paid seperately), checking the camber by templates, eveningout irregularities and rolling the surface with a roller of 8 to 10 toncapacity, wetting the wheels of the roller to prevent premix fromsticking and continuing rolling till the pre-mix is compacted. High andlow spots observed are to be corrected by adding or removing pre-mixchippings or pea gravels, excess rolling to be avoided, includingcarriage of bitumen from company#s store or yard to the site of work,(T<(>&<)>P& watch & ward & Road Roller by Contractor,Bitumen supplied by company).i)Using other mixer of approvedtype on Bituminous surface. 8 Aplying primercoat with bitumen emulsion on prepared surface of granularBase including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rateof 0.60 kg/sqm using mechanical means. 9 Aplying tack coat with bitumen emulsion/bitumen at the rate of 0.20 kgper sqm on the prepared bituminous/granular surface cleaned. 10 Providing and laying seal coat sealing the voids in a bituminous surfacelaid to the specified levels, grade and cross fall using Type A sealcoats.(Road roller provided by Contractor), etc.
