Tender for insulation of equipments <(>&<)> pipelines in ccd-1 <(>&<)> ccd-2 -40 mm thick insulation on pipe line with mineral wool material and clading with g.i. sheets as per scope of work given below and terms and conditions . scope of work: a) collect mineral wool and g.i.sheet from stores, mills or from other issue location. b) make temporary platform, if required, where insulation work is to be done. c) dismantle the old insulation and g.i.sheet after getting clearance from the department. salvage g.i.sheet, if it is in good condition. remove the old insulation materials and damaged g.i.sheet from the site and store at a place, shown by site incherage. finally transport all old insulation materials and scraps to the location shown by site incharge d) the application and finishing of thermal insulation materials shall be as per is 7413- 1981. method of application shall be as per prescribed in the is 7413-1981 under subject 4-method of application. e) surface preparation : before application of insulation the surface shall be wire brushed toremove all rust, scales, oil etc. and dried. f) application of insulation : flexible insulation, which shall be applied by means of wire netting on the out side suitably laced. the diameter of lacing wire shall be 0.56mm minimum and wire netting shall be of maximum 20mm mesh diameter. g) insulation of pipe duct shall be carried out as per para 4.3.5.1 to 4.3.5.2 of is 7413 -1981 h) protective finish : galvanised sheet of suitable thickness shall be applied. sheet metal shall preferably be secured by metal bands. all joints between adjucent sheet shall be grouved or overlapped 50mm minimum against the weather to prevent ingress of rain water. i) fitting : before the insulation of fitting is taken up, insulation of the pipe duct with its protective finish, shall be completed.the insulation shall be stopped short of the fitting, so as to allow for withdrawl of bolt without disturbance of the insulation. j) tracer lines : pipe lines having tracer lines, shall be maintained the closest possible contact betwwen the main pipe and the tracer. care should be taken to prevent the insullation filling any space between the main pipe and the tracer line. since the flexible insulation material is applied to steam traced pipe lines, wrapped the both the lines with wire netting and aluminium foils. aluminium foils will be provided by rsp free of cost. k) measurement : measurement shall be taken over finish insulation surface as perscribed in is 7413-1981 under para 9-measurement ,REMOVE ALL RUST, SCALES, OIL ETC. AND DRIED. F) APPLICATION OF INSULATION : FLEXIBLE INSULATION, WHICH SHALL BE APPLIED BY MEANS OF WIRE NETTING ON THE OUT SIDE SUITABLY LACED. THE DIAMETER OF LACING WIRE SHALL BE 0.56MM MINIMUM AND WIRE NETTING SHALL BE OF MAXIMUM 20MM MESH DIAMETER. G) INSULATION OF PIPE DUCT SHALL BE CARRIED OUT AS PER PARA 4.3.5.1 TO 4.3.5.2 OF IS 7413 -1981 H) PROTECTIVE FINISH : GALVANISED SHEET OF SUITABLE THICKNESS SHALL BE APPLIED. SHEET METAL SHALL PREFERABLY BE SECURED BY METAL BANDS. ALL JOINTS BETWEEN ADJUCENT SHEET SHALL BE GROUVED OR OVERLAPPED 50MM MINIMUM AGAINST THE WEATHER TO PREVENT INGRESS OF RAIN WATER.
