The biosafety cabinet will be used for microbial/animal cell culture work assigned to biological safety levels I, II or III, to be provided with germicidal UV lamp (UV lamp to be in working zone with on/off working timer), fluorescent lamp (≥ 1200 Lux) and two electrical outlets. The width of working space should be strictly between 1200 – 1220 mm. 2. Microprocessor controlled airstream (Class II) with LCD display. 3. The control system should have capability to constantly monitor and display airflow velocity and produce visual as well as audible alarms in case of low airflow/ airflow failure. 4. These biosafety cabinets are to be housed in a clean modular facility with cubicles. Therefore, overall dimensions of the quoted equipment should strictly be: Width: ≤ 1340 mm Depth: 750 – 800 mm Height (including support stand): ≤ 2225 mm 5. Construction: (a) Main body: electro-galvanized steel or equivalent. (b) Single piece Stainless Steel (SS) interior side walls and back walls (SS surface for easy cleaning). Corners should be curved. (c) The working area tray/platform should be removable for easy cleaning and disinfection of working zone. (d) Cabinet should be provided with RS-232 Port for interface. (e) Cabinet with only a DC motor should be quoted. 6. Downflow and Exhaust Filters: (a) ULPA/HEPA (b) Filter efficiency ≥ 99.99 % at 0.1 – 0.3 μm particle size. 7. Airflow velocity: 0.4-0.6 m/s, air flow volume maintained with proper inflow, down flow and exhaust. 8. Provided with fixtures for Air/Gas/Vacuum/Nitrogen. Adapters and other accessories required for LPG gas connection should be supplied along with the equipment. 9. Sound level: 50 – 70 dBA 10. Safety: Visual and/or audible alarm for low air flow velocity, filters, excess door open. 11. The system should be supplied with support stand with castor wheels (from Original Equipment Manufacturer (same manufacturer)). 12. Certification: NSF-49 certified and listed on NSF website. 13. IQ/OQ/PQ Documentation to be included. 14. All costs of installation, validation performance demonstration at site and on site testing like DOP test, particle test, noise level test, current/voltage test, vibration etc. to be included in main quote. 15. With each Biosafety cabinet, one high quality ergonomic lab chair optimized for sitting while working in biosafety cabinet should be supplied. The chair should be preferably from the original equipment manufacturer. 16. Warranty: 5 years from the date of installation and two service visit of company trained service engineer in a year during the warranty period. 17. Power Supply: 230 V and 50 Hz 18. The company should have the necessary ISO-certification with regards to quality systems. General conditions: The vendor should provide complete brochure for the quoted model and highlight the specifications in the brochure. The vendor should provide point-wise compliance statement in tabular form as given in tender document, clearly mentioning the compliance/deviation (if any). Any accessory items required for the instrument should also be quoted.
