In addition to the ferrule, an orifice of 4.0 mm dia should also be provided in the service line at the entry point of the consumer's property in such a way that it should be accessible for inspection to VWSC, PHED and any other authority which would like to inspect as and when required. The service line should be laid at least 45 CM below ground level, except in cases of concrete/bituminous roads where minimum depth shall be 20 cm.\nFor detailed specifications of MDPE pipes please refer section \"Technical Specifications\" of bid document.
