    Construction Of Natural Fencing At Kavaratti , Providing And Fixing 1 . 5 Metre Height Dried Midrib Stem ( Madi ) Of Coconut Tree . Midrib ( Madi ) Shall Be Dried , Should Not Have Cracks And Properly Tied With Thick Coir Yarn To Three Horizontal Stiffner ( Locally Called Bari ) Of Size Not Less Than 50X25 Mm As Per Drawing Attached . Horizontal Stiffneres Are To Be Tied Properly With Coir Yarn Including Fixing It With 3 Inch Nails To The Straight Vertical Poles . Size Of Pole Shall Not Be Less Than 10 Cm Dia . Wooden Pole May Be Of Coconut Tree Or Any Other Local Tree Which Shall Last For Three Years . Wooden Pole Shall Be Placed 2 Metre Centre To Centre And Should Be Fixed In Any Type Of Ground Not Less Than 0 . 5 Metre Depth Including Excavation And Filling . The Botton Part Of The Pole Should Be Painted Befor Erecting To The Ground . All The Sides Of Fencing Should Be Coated With Wooden Colour Mixed Varnish To Get Even Shade After Cleaning The Surace , Including Removing And Stacking As Per Direction Of Engineer In Charge .
