| 4 | 1.04 | (e) Structural Design.\n \n (i) Structural analysis shall be carried out using STAAD Pro connect edition version 22.04.00.40 or equivalent \n software as well as coeff method as per IS : 3370 (Part -4). Higher of the two values of moments and shear shall be\n adopted for design of structures. \n\n (ii) For members of container working stress method of design shall be adopted. Stipulations of IS: 3370 Part 1 & 2 \n are to be strictly followed. Winds and Seismic load shall be considered. Members of containers shall be designed with\n finite element software also. \n (iii) Over Head Tank shall be an Intze type water tank. \n (iv) Staging shall be designed using STAAD Pro connection edition version 22.04.00.40 and as per IS : 11682. \n Wind load and sesmic load shall be considered.\n (v) Foundation shall be designed, based on IS codes manually/ through excel sheets/ STAAD Foundation Software.\n Wind load and seismic load shall also be considered.\n (vi) Proper provision for water tightness & waterproofing to be provided.\n\n (f) The design shall include the following parameters:-\n (i) Reinforcement steel shall Fe-500/500D grade TMT bars. | 5 | 1.05 | (iii) Recommendation for joints with type and spacing to be provided.\n\n (iv) Proper provision for water tightness and water proofing to be provided.\n\n (v) Seismic Zone – III, Area, Agra.\n\n (vi) Shape of UG sumps can be circular or rectangular based on the economic design.\n\n (vii) Sump should be underground having preferably 2/3 height above ground level but should be at least half \n height above ground as per economic considerations to reduce priming of the pumps up to certain extent.\n\n (viii) Any other relevant detail required shall be taken from Dir (Design)/ SO-1 (Design) of HQ CE (AF) Allahabad.\n\n(g) The following requirement shall be met with while preparation of structural drawings:-\n\n (i) The structural drawings shall be drawn to a scale sufficient for interpretation by executives.\n\n (ii) Every sketch shall be given as serial number so that it can be uniquely refered to along with sheet No e.g. \n “Section of Beam PB-(Drawing No 5) sheet No. 1 etc”. Reference number shall be taken by the consultant from client.\n (iii) The consultant must familiarize himself with the general format of structural drawing followed in the office of \n the client and prepare his drawings accordingly.\n (iv) The structural drawing should give elevation and section details showing dimension of reinforcement and dimensions\n of various structural elements.\n\n (v) Detailing or reinforcement bars must be given exhaustively and clearly.\n | | | |

| 6 | 1.06 | (vi) Design and detailing of RCC staircase (upto bottom dome platform) and steel staircase with footsteps (from bottom\n dome to top dome).\n\n (vii) Inlet, outlet, washout pipes etc, manhole cover in top dome and central vents, ventilating shaft at centre of top of\n dome shall be clearly shown along with details in working drawings.\n (viii) Notes regarding various RCC details i.e type of cement, RCC reinforcement acceptance criteria of concrete, \n quality of water cover to reinf & spacings of reinf shall be mentioned on drgs in detail.\n\n (viii) Certificate as under shall be given duly signed by structural designer in each structural drawings.\n\nCertificate:-\n\n“It is certified that the design/ specifications included in these drawings are in accordance with the current Govt policy, IS specifications, E-in-C’s policy, technical instructions and sound engineering practice and earthquake resistant design for seismic zone – III’.\n \n(h) Supply of design calculations folders, output file both in hard and soft copy (01 Copy each).\n(j) Design shall be vetted by Dir (Design)/ SO-1 (Design), HQ CE (AF) Allahabad. All communication will be preferably done in mail directly with Dir/SO1(Design) till approval of design drawing.\n\n(k) Supply of 01 set of original tracing hard copy (A1 size) on ‘Gateway’ brand tracing paper along with a soft copy of drawings, as directed. The design prepared by one designer shall be checked by another designer and both the persons shall sign the design calculations and drawings along with date.\n(l) The consultant shall give clarification, if any, without additional cost during complete execution period of the structures, within a period of 07 days after receipt of written request from E2 design section of this HQ. | | | |

| 7 | 1.07 | (m) Any amendment required during execution shall be made by the consultant and requisite copies of amended sheets shall be submitted without additional cost. 10% of the payment shall be held and will be released only after completion of work.\n\n(n) The consultant shall discuss the preliminary design & drgs before preparation of final structural design & drawings with Dir (Design)/ SO-1 (Design) of HQ CE (AF) Allahabad.\n(o) The responsibility for the structural design & drawings rests with the consultant. In case of any defect/ damage is detected in the designed structure during its design life and the same is attributed to faulty drawing/ design, the consultant will be liable for penalty of 10% of the total project cost.\n\n(p) Consultant shall provide methodology and integrated drawing for inlet and outlet, overflow & washout valves for various water storing structures.\n\n(q) Third party vetting/ proof checking:- \n\n (i) The supplier shall be responsible for third party vetting/ proof checking from IIT/ NIT duly signed by authorised\n signatory on behalf of the institute and not from a professor/ individual of the institute in his personal capacity. The \n third party vetting the designs & drawings shall also be liable for ensuring that the designs & drawings are in \n compliance with the laid down standards, regulations, adherence to NBC norms and sound engineering practices.\n The consultant is responsible for obtaining clarification from the vetting agency till the completion of project.\n (ii) A certificate that all details have been thoroughly checked and are in compliance to standards, codes, regulations\n in respect of safety, soundness and economy shall be obtained from the vetting agencies.\n\n (iii) Vetting agency will also be liable and answerable for any design defect detected during design life of the\n structures and may be called upon to address such issues, if any. \n | | | |

| 8 | 1.08 | (r) Submission of final documents:-\n\n (i) The consultant on being issued the Job Order shall send his design team to HQ CE AF Allahabad to liaise with the\n E2 Design and E6 Section to discuss and finalize the design parameters and obtain clarifications on any architectural \n and design issues. The date of visit of the design team shall be decided in consultation with the E2 Design Section of \n HQ CE (AF) Allahabad.\n (ii) On preparation of the design folder and preliminary structural drawings, the consultant shall send his design team\n to make a detailed power point presentation of the structural design and drawings to the E2 Design and E6 Section\n of HQ CE (AF) Allahabad. | 9 | 1.09 | (s) Consultancy for preparation of BOQ, estimate and rate analysis of above structures with supporting documents of each bldg and structure separately including price list, quotations as under:-\n\n (i) Taking off quantities and preparation of estimate and abstract and duly priced Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for bldg work (Lump \n Sum) and service within the scope of BOQ based on MES SSR Part-II 2010 and market rates where SSR rates not available \n based on finalized drgs of bldgs/ UG/ OH reservoir as given in para 1 (a) above.\n\n (ii) Preparation of market analysis of the building & services covered in the above mentioned work alongwith supporting \n details/documents to analysis quoted rate for reasonability.\n\n (iii) Yardstick of each bldg as per standard format. \n\n(t) Schedule of internal water supply and internal electric supply shall be included in BOQ separately. | | | |
