Laying Of Cinder Athletic Track , Equipment And Accessories At Bathinda Military Station - 2 Step-1 : Surface Dressing With Laying A Sub Base Soil & Red Bricks On The Track N ( Aa ) Removal Of Weeds And Surface Dressing Of The Complete Track With 15 Cm Deep And Getting / Taking Out All Type Of Soil, Which Includes Removing Of Surplus Soil To A Distance Not Exceeding Upto 50 Mtr From Outer Edges Of The Track, Watering Of Track & Making A Good Surface. N N ( Ab ) Uneven Surface Of The Natural Ground, Rough Excavated Surfaces And Filled Up Area Where Ordered Shall Be Trimmed To An Even Surface, Horizontal Or Slopping, By Removing Vegetation And By Scrapping High Patches And Filling In Low Patches With The Scraped Soil To Give An Even And Neat Look To The Site. Surface Dressing I.E Digging / Tilling Leveling Will Be Ensured Upto 15 Cm Depth In Existing Track. N 3 ( Ac ) Application Of Weed Chemical Over The Track. ( Weedicide Composition Glyphosate 41%, Based- Broad Spectrum Herbicide And Crop Desiccant ) 4 ( Ad ) Laying Of A Layer Of Burnt Clay Sub Class ‘B’ Bricks. ( Broken Pieces ) ( Without Any Grass Or Weeds ) And Compacting Of The Bricks By 8-10 Ton Power Roller. Total Thickness 5 Cm After Compaction. N N ( Ae ) Broken Brick Coarse Aggregate Shall Be Prepared From Well Burnt Or Over Burnt Bricks And Shall Conform To Is 3068 : 1986 - Specification For Broken Brick Burnt & Clay. Coarse Aggregate For Cinder Mix Shall Be Free From Under Burnt Particles And Adherent Coatings Of Soil Or Silt. Flaky Or Elongated Pieces Shall Be Avoided. The Aggregate Shall Be Free From Dust Which Shall Be Removed By Screening Over 4.75 Mm Is Sieve. 5 Laying Of Top Layer Of Cinder Using Crushed Coal. N ( Aa ) Laying A Layer Of Mixture In A Ratio Of 8:2 ( Crushed Coal : Soil ) , Crushed Coal And Soil Neatly Compacted By Using Road Roller To Get A Final Smooth Surface Of 5 Cm Thick. N N ( Ab ) Immediately After Spreading, Grading And Leveling Of The Mixed Material, Each Layer Shall Be Compacted With Power Road Roller Of 8-10 Tones And / Or Sheep Footed Roller / Vibratory Roller. N N ( Ac ) Rolling Shall Commence At Edges And Progress Towards The Center, Except At Super Elevated Portions At Curves / Line In Track Where It Shall Commence At The Inner Edge And Progress Towards Outer Edge. During Rolling, It Will Be Ensured That Surface Rolled Is Frequently Checked And Graded Where Required And Also To Prevent Crest & Trough And Cross Fall ( Camber ) And Any Irregularities Corrected By Loosening The Material And Removing / Adding Fresh Material. N N ( Ad ) Compaction Shall Continue Until The Density Achieved Is 5 Cm Thickness Across The Entire Track As Per Relevant Is. During Rolling It Shall Be Ensured That Roller Does Not Bear Directly On Hardened Or Partially Hardened Treated Material Previously Laid Other Than What May Be Necessary For Achieving The Specified Compaction At The Joint. The Final Surface Shall Be Well Closed, Free From Movement Under Compaction Planes, Ridges, Cracks Or Loose Material. All Loose Or Segregated Or Otherwise Defective Areas Shall Be Made Good To The Full Thickness Of The Layer And Re-Compacted. 6 Brick Work Around The Track. Ncontinuous Brick Lining ( Burnt Clay Brick ) With The Width Equal To The Width Of The Brick Should Be Laid Dry On End Vertically. 7 Line Marking Equipment & Work Nline Marking Machine ( Drum Type ) Ms Iron Body Capable To Mark 5Cm Line Wide Manually ( Wheel Marking Of Line Through Front Wheel ) Will Be Part Of Procurement & Same To Used For Marking Of Line After Completion Of The Track.

5	2	Laying of Top Layer of Cinder Using Crushed Coal.\n(aa) Laying a layer of mixture in a ratio of 8:2 (Crushed Coal : Soil), Crushed Coal and Soil neatly compacted by using road roller to get a final smooth surface of 5 cm thick.\n\n (ab) Immediately after spreading, grading and leveling of the mixed material, each layer shall be compacted with power road roller of 8-10 tones and / or sheep footed roller/ vibratory roller.\n\n (ac) Rolling shall commence at edges and progress towards the center, except at super elevated portions at curves / line in track where it shall commence at the inner edge and progress towards outer edge.
