SERVICING AND OVERHAULING OF GE & ABB MAKE ACB COVERING BELOW MENTIONED MINIMUM ACTIVITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:\n(1) Placement of adequate manpower with supply of all consumables required for servicing other than spare components\n(2) Removal of ACB for servicing and putting it in service position again after completion of job.\n(3) Cleaning of dust, spider-web, foreign particles etc.\n(4) Cleaning of entire Breaker and cradle with CRC-226 & others and ensure tightness of all hardware.\n(5) Examining and cleaning of arc chute thoroughly for any burning and if badly burnt replacement of items with new ones.\n(6) Checking, repairing, cleaning and maintaining the arching tips/contacts for metal globules formed by arching, carefully removing the globules, if arching tips /contacts severely eroded replacement with new ones. Gap between fixed and moving arcing contacts shall be checked.\n(7) Noting the contact resistance of breaker.\n(8) Checking and repairing of closing mechanism for proper operation and lubrication of bearing and pivotal points.\n(9) Noting of closing timing.\n(10) Checking the reset mechanism, tripping of breaker through push buttons\n(11) Checking of trip mechanism manually and electrically.\n(12) Noting the tripping timing.\n(13) Checking and repair of shutters and associated mechanism.\n(14) Checking and adjustment of release trip rod.\n(15) Checking and repair of condition of rails on which breaker moves.\n(16) Checking alignment and condition of carriage limit switches\n(17) Checking condition of ACB wiring and replace if required\n(18) Checking alignment of SIC and its operation\n(19) Doing Insulation test\n(20) The service engineer has to fill up the standard maintenance checklist showing all aforesaid measured parameters and submit the report.
