3 1.2 (B) The following plants/ equipments of Self-contained sewage treatment plant are to be operated :-\n(a) Submersible Aerators with reduction gear 25 RPM, 10 HP - 3 Nos\n(b) Treated water lifting pumps 15 HP capacity - 02 Nos.\n(c) Sewage lifting pump 10 HP - 01 No with standby\n(d) Sludge Pump for Drying Beds 2 HP capacity - 01 No.\n(e) Gaseous Chlorination Plant - 01 No.\n(f) Transformer 11KV/ 415 Volts, 100KVA - 01 No.\n(g) Double Pole Structure with GOD - 01 No. (h) Electrical Control Panels - 02 Nos.\n(j) DG Set 40 KVA - 1 No\n(k) Fountain pump 10 HP - 01 No\n(l) Pressure filter pump 15 HP - 1 No \n(m) Non gaseous chlorination plant -01 No\n
4 1.3 Notes :-(a) The FGM shall operate the sewage Treatment Plant of capacity 720 Cum per day including proper mixing of alum ferric, bleaching powder all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.\n(b)Alum ferric and bleaching powder required for operating of the chlorination plant shall be issued by the department free for incorporation only.\n(c) Daily cleaning of the clarifier track / channel, maintaining pressure filter, area cleaning etc., shall be carried out by the FGM.\n(e) FGM shall carry out the back wash cleaning of the pressure filter and carbon filter as and when required.\n(f) Sludge removal pump from the clarifier shall be operated regularly as per the requirement by the operator.\n(g) Once in the contract period the contractor shall liaise with the state pollution control board authorities and get the STP inspected for operating the plant as per their standard norms. The consultation charges if any required shall be born by the department.\n\n(h) Contractor shall maintain the quality of treated water within the KSPCB’s limit in respect of various parameters as specified here in after.\n(j) Contractor shall provide uniforms to the operator with GE’s logo as directed by Engr-in-charge.
5 2 Maintenance and operation of swimming pool installation consisting of the following including minor maintenance and cleaning the surrounding area in TWO shifts of eight hours each on all days including Sundays & Holidays by engaging One qualified FGM (Semi skilled) per shift all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. \n(A) Filteration plant: 1 No. consisting the following:-\n(i) Pressure filter 1,20,000 ltrs capacity: 02 Nos\n(ii) Electrically operated water circulating centrifugal pump 10 HP capacity: 02 nos\n(iii) Non Gaseous type chlorination plant 1kg/hr capacity 1No including operation of connected valves, priming arrangement, electric control panels from 0600 hrs to 2200 hrs in two shifts of 8 hrs each, every day including Sundays and holidays all as specified and directed by Engr -in-Charge.\n 660 EACH\nSHIFT/ PER FGM
6 2.1 Notes:-\n(1) Work to be carried out in 02 (two) shifts 06.00 hrs to 14.00 hrs and 14.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs.\n(2) One pump and one pressure filter will be operated alternatively.\n(3) Rate quoted shall deemed to be included for the repairs of foot valves and sluice valves, supply and replacement of bolts, nuts, washers and minor spares as required for smooth and trouble free function of the plant.\n(4) The filtration plant area shall always be kept clean and tidy.
7 3 Maintenance and Operation of Pump sets with DG sets of following capacity at pump house No.5 south camp in Three Shifts of eight hours on all days including Sundays and Holidays by engaging one qualified FGM (Pump Cum DG operator Semi Skilled) per shift all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge: \n(A) Details of Installation at pump House No. 5 are as under:-\n(a) Monobock pump set 15 HP Capacity : 02 Nos\n(b) Diesel Generating set 40 KVA : 01 No\n(c) Chloronome plant : 01 No\nNote:- \n(1) Work to be carried out in 03 (three) shifts 06.00 hrs to 14.00 hrs, 14.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs and 22.00 hrs to 06.00 hrs\n(2) The pump House and surrounding area shall be cleaned every day and always maintained well.\n(3) The weeds and grass in the pump house area shall be removed periodically as per Engineer in charge 990 EACH\nSHIFT/ PER FGM
8 3.1 General Notes for Item 1.0 to item 3.0 :- \n1. Rates quoted against respective items of sch 'A' deem to be inclusive of the expenditure for following :- \n(a) Area cleaning etc up to 5 Mtr from the plinth protection all around the pump house, STP, swimming pool etc and cleaning of all types of valves (butterfly valves, fire hydrant valve, water monitoring valve and sluice valve) etc. \n(b) Cleaning of all equipments electrical and mechanical inside the pump house including cleaning of inside walls and roofs. \n(c) Daily check of plant as per manufactures manual before starting the machine and ensure routine maintenance as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. \n(d) Minimum required tools are to be available with the operator. \n(e) Log sheet to be maintained regularly, in bound book from month wise as per the Performa approved by Engineer-in-Charge.\n(f) First Aid box including medicines shall be kept in the installations. \n(g) Preparation of the display charts & posters as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. \n (CONTD...)
9 3.2 (h) Any abnormality observed shall be immediately intimated to the complaint cell of MES & Engineer-in-Charge.\n(J) The contractor shall keep sufficient stock of following spares/stores required for the first line maintenance of installations so that the same may be available without any loss of time. The cost of stores consumed in the work is included in unit rate against respective items in Sch 'A'. \n(i) All types of bolts, nuts, washers, screw and other fasteners. \n(ii) All types of gland packing, gaskets etc. \n(iii) Lubricating materials, cotton waste, soap, torch cell etc.\n(iv) Indicating lamps, thimbles, cables sockets, cable lugs etc. \n(v) All kinds of working cable, fuse wire for connection of LT panel, insulation tape. \n(vi) Two sets of dress per operator as approved by Department. \n(vii) One set of safety shoe per operator. \n(viii) One set of hand gloves. \n(ix) Nominal hand tools required for carrying out manning and operations.
10 3.3 2. The deploying of operators against various installation shall be as decided by Engineer-in-Charge. Employment of each operator in every shift shall be measured and paid. \n3. In case of exigency, the Engineer-in-Charge may ask the contractor to detail operators, on other installations as required. The contractor should not have any objection in ordering, as above. \n4. In case of working on all the days of week, contractor shall provide reliever, as required under labour laws. \n5. The contractor is advised to insure the labour employed in the installations, from any eventualities while operating the installations.
11 4 Cleaning of swimming pool of size 26mx12.5m, bottom and side walls by using suction sweeper fitted with nylon brush (twice in a week) all as specified and directed.\nNote:-\n(a) Suction sweeper fitted with nylon brush will be provided to the contractor.\n(b) Repairs to the suction sweeper including replacement of leather/ rubber flaps, bolts/nuts, washers etc., shall be carried out by the contractor without any extra cost.\n(c) Rate quoted shall be deemed to include charges for maintaining the diving platform and cleaning the sides of the side walls of the swimming pool once in every month.\n(d) Nylon brush fitted with suction sweeper shall be replaced with new one, in every three months without claiming any extra cost to the department.\n(e) Alum ferric, copper sulphate and bleaching powder shall be added as required and as directed.\n(f) Items such as Alum ferric, Copper sulphate, bleaching powder, Chlorine gas etc will be issued by the department on free for usage.\n 90 EACH \nJOB
12 4.1 (g) Separate registers for plant running record for the filteration plant and Chloronome plant shall be maintained by the operators.\n(h) The Aeration Cascade shall be cleaned once in a month without claiming any extra cost to the department.
13 5 Testing of treated water sample collected from STP 720 cum/day, once is every two month by sending the treated water samples to the authorized NABL laboratories located at Bangalore/Pune/Goa or any other NABL labs are available for the following parameters :-\n(a) PH : 5.5 to 9.0 (KSPCB Limit)\n(b) BOD : 10 mg/L Maximum (KSPCB Limit)\n(c) Turbidity : 5 NTU Maximum (KSPCB Limit)\n(d) Total Suspended solids : 30 mg/L Maximum (KSPCB Limit)\n(e) Residual chlorine : 1.0 mg/L Maximum (KSPCB Limit)\n(f) E. Coli : Nil CFU (KSPCB Limit)\nNote :- \na) The samples for testing to be collected in the presence of Engg-in-charge\nb) The quoted rate deemed to be inclusive of transportation/ collection of samples from site.\nc) The contractor should submit test results before claiming payment. 5 EACH\nJOB
14 6 Testing of chemical tolerances of water for swimming pool (every quarter) from NABL accredited lab and the results obtained shall be displayed on the board at swimming pool and a copy of result sheet shall be submitted to Engineer in charge all as directed 5 EACH\nJOB
