Nitrous- Oxide Manifold should be suitable to withstand a pressure of 145 Kg/cm2, along with high-pressure copper annealed tail pipes with end Brass adapter suitable for Nitrous oxide Cylinders and manifold.Top frame comprising of high pressure copper pipe of size 5/8” I.D. x 7/8” OD with high pressure brass fittings made of high tensile brass, NRV and high pressure copper tailpipes made of high pressure copper pipe of size 3/16 inch I.D. x 3/8 inch OD. 10 6.01 (f) Compressed air filtration system: one set of 4 – stage filter.\nThe filters should be made of die cast aluminums housing \nwith epoxy power paint on the outside and anodized surface \ntreatment inside to prevent corrosion and ensure extra long life.\nThe filters should have maximum contaminant removal efficiency with minimum pressure drop. 13 7.01 (a) Vaccum Pump Single stage, minimum capacity 3141LPM/111 cfm(piston displacement) or 7.5 HP each motor. Each pump should be suited for maximum working pressure of 29 inch mercury (730 mm mercury) Each pump should be fitted with MS channel frame complete having vibration isolators with 3 Nos.silencers at vacuum pump discharge end. The pump should be air cooled.3 sets of isolation valve, on return valve and filter should be provided with pumps the system should be expandable to receive one additional pump in future.\n(b) Drive Assembly :The electrical drive for vacuum pump should consist of suitable TEFC induction motor operating at 1440 RPM and\n connected through a V-belt. 14 7.02 (d) Vacuum Switch :Vacuum switch of 0-760 mm range should be provided, should have both NO/NC contracts and suitable for 230 V 50 Hz AC supply. The vacuum switch should be housed in weather proof casing with 3/8”BSP gas service connection at the bottom of the assembly.\n(e) Vacuum Filter :2 Nos vacuum filters with drain valve. This filter should be non-ferrous and online. 17 9 Supply,Instllation testing and commissiong of Copper Piping 28 mm OD x 1.0 mm thick with complete fittings/fixtures as per technical specification and BS: 13348 and as mentioned below:- (a) Installation of piping should be carried out as per approved medical standards with utmost cleanliness. (b) Only pipes, fittings and valves which have been degreased as per approved medical standards should be used . (c) Pipe fixing clamps for upto 28mm diameter. (d) Pipes should be non ferrous suitable for the diameter of the pipe and wherever required rigid metallic hanging or cemented supports to be used. (e) The main lines to the building to be taken overhead through heavy grade metallic poles or GI tubes with inspection points in metallic boxes wherever required . Adequate supports shall be provided while laying pipelines to ensure that the pipes do not sag. 50 RM
18 9.01 Suitable sleeves shall be provided wherever pipes cross through walls / slabs. All pipe clamps shall be non-reactive to copper.(f) All pipe joints should be made using inert gas fluxless brazing method. (g) All joints should be of copper to copper and should be brazed by silver brazing filler material without flux while being brazed joints shall be continuously purged with oil free dry nitrogen to prevent the formation of copper oxide on the inside surface of the joint. (h) All pipes should be installed without springing or forcing. (j) All pipes should be protected against mechanical injury in a manner satisfactory to authorities having jurisdiction.(k) Test: After erection, all the new pipes cleaned or purged with the help of dry nitrogen gas. Complete system should be tested with dry nitrogen at 2 times of working pressure for 24 hours. (l) Painting: All existing and proposed exposed pipes/should be painted with two coats of Synthetic enamel paint & color codification as per IS : 2379 of 1963. and approved medical standards.
19 9.02 (m) All concealed pipes to have gas identification bands / labels at appropriate distance. (n) Similarly all pipes which need embedding in the wall should be tested/painted/labeled and properly insulated. (p) Certification: To be certified that pipes are suitable for the particular service and complete cross connection (anti-confusion) test should be carried out. (q) Distribution piping system: MATERIAL (PIPE): Solid drawn, seamless, deoxidized, non arsenical, half hard, tempered and degreased materials conforming to BS: EN 13348. Copper pipe must have reputed third party inspection certificate (E.g.Lloyd?s or Kite marked or TUV or SGS). Fittings should be made of copper conforming to BS 864 and suitable for a working Pressure of upto 17 bar and especially made forbrazed socket type connections.
20 9.03 All copper pipes should be inspected and certified for medical use before dispatch and the pipe should be delivered plugged or capped at both ends. \nNote: (a) The tenderer shall design & submit complete layout drawings with proper colour code, fittings, fixtures complete for approval of GE or rep of accepting Officer before placing order and the quoted includes for the same.(b) The quoted rate inclusive of all mechanical protections with metallic pipes to pipe weherevr required . 24 13 Supply,Installation, testing and commissioning of oxygen Gas outlet points complete with matching probe/adopter with one end suitable for Hose & other end suitable for terminal units complete set for Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide, Air, & Vacuum system as per technical specification confirming to CE certified (CE 0482)/ HTM 02-01/EN/ISO/DIN and as mentioned below:- (a) The outlets shall be modular singles, and shall incorporate nameplate color-coding. The single modular outlets shall be of a design that provides for ganging of rough-in plates in the field to form multiples. (b) The gas services shall be sequentially arranged and located as shown on the plans with a minimum centerline spacing of 5 inches (12.5 cm) between outlets. (c) The outlets shall be capable of supporting dispensing equipment without the use of slide brackets. The medical gas outlets shall be designed so that, once installed, routine service of both the primary and secondary check valves can be accomplished without removing the nameplate or gas specific portions. 14 Each
25 13.01 (d) The primary check valve shall be unitized and of the cartridge type. So that the primary check valve can be removed for service without shutting off the gas supply to the outlet, the secondary check valve shall operate automatically to stop the free flow of the pressure gas. (e) There shall be no secondary check for vacuum or gas evacuation service. Medical gas outlets that require the removal of the nameplate or gas specific components for routine service shall not be acceptable. (f) The outlets shall Conform to CE certified (CE 0482)/ HTM 02-01/EN/ISO/DIN and should meet with the provisions of council Directive of Medical Devices Directive. (g) All outlets are 100% tested for flow and leaks (h) The outlet nameplate shall be permanently color coded with a durable scratch-resistant and protective label. (j) Medical gas outlets shall be cleaned for oxygen service as per Medical Standards, capped and placed in a protective container for shipment. (k) The outlets shall be installed in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, and tested before use in conformance with local and federal codes.\n
26 13.02 (l) Outlets shall be Double Lock Outlet type manufactured with an approx 165 mm length, Copper inlet pipe stub which is silver brazed to the outlet body. Body shall be of one piece brass construction. For positive pressure gas services, the outlet shall be equipped with a primary and secondary check valve and the secondary check valve shall have break safe mechanism and also comply to pressure test standards and rated at minimum 200 psi in the event the primary check valve is removed for maintenance.The outlet assembly should have separate colour coding for each services and will accept only corresponding gas specific adaptors. All outlets shall be cleaned and de-greased for medical gas service, factory assembled and tested.The medical gas outlets should be of quick connecting and wall mounted modular type.\nMake: Greggersen/ Tedisel/Trumph/WTK or equivalent approved make of HQ CEWC.

31 17.01 (a) It should be combined with Area Alarm for low space consumption. It should provide a zone isolation facility for use either in an emergency or for maintenance purpose. The Area Valve Service Unit should incorporate a ball valve with NIST connectors either side mounted in a lockable box with emergency access. It should be reliable and easy to operate and must have NIST connectors facilitate easy purge, sample & pressure testing and emergency supply system.
32 17.02 (b) The unit should be pre-piped, wired and tested ready for installation into a finished building. Medical gas/vacuum services should be fixed copper, piped to and from their respective area valve service units. A color coded service identity label should be fitted behind the valve handle. The unit should provide a zone isolation facility, for use either in an emergency or for maintenance purposes. The box shall be made from steel decorative frame powder coated to prevent corrosion . All wetted parts (except seals and gaskets) should be brass or copper. Each unit assembly should be factory tested for gas tightness. Rubber pipe grommets should be provided to ensure any leaking gas does not escape from the unit into a wall cavity. All visible aluminum surfaces should be powder coated.
33 17.03 (c) The valve unit of the compressed gases or vacuum consists of the following components:(i) medical ball-valve DN 20 and pressure gauge per gas type.,(ii) valve group consists of valve block, shut-off valve and visible physical isolation for service., (iii) quick access by special lock and push in window, (iv) diameter connection pipe 22mm available, (v)- emergency supply inlet NIST-Coupling , pressure transmitter for each gas type.The pressure transmitter converts the current pressure to the alarm panel. The alarm panelsystem is programmed to ensure a warning signal in case of any increase or decrease of the pressure.
34 17.04 (d) The valves shall be bronze, ball-type, with Teflon (TFE) seats and seals. All valves shall be dual gauge ported, rated at a working pressure of 600 psi (29 in/Hg vacuum), and shall be operated by a lever-type handle, requiring only a quarter turn from a fully open position to a fully closed position. Valves shall incorporate an adjustable packing and a blow- out proof stem. Only full port valves having flow rates comparable to equivalent size of pipe shall be used. Valves shall be piped from left to right. Valves shall be provided with type K copper tubing extensions to facilitate installation. Valves shall be 3 piece in-line repairable type. Each valve assembly shall be supplied cleaned for oxygen service in accordance with current medical standards. The valve tube ends shall be capped and sealed in a protective container to prevent contamination prior to installation. Gauges shall be 50 mm OD for monitoring pressure and vacuum.
35 17.05 (e) A fully color coded label package shall be supplied with each valve box assembly for application by the installer. The valve box shall be of minimum IP-41 with sheet steel construction powder coated to prevent rust. A single box shall house from one to three valves. Box shall be supplied with a ¾” plaster flange. Valve box assembly shall be supplied with a formed steel decorative frame powder coated which encloses an easily removable flexible window.\nMake: Greggersen /Tedisel Medical/ trumph/WTK or equivalent approved make of HQ CEWC
36 18 Supply, Installation, testing and commissioning of the Master Alarm Panel, which shall be LCD touch screen microprocessor controlled and designed to comply with Complies with HTM 02-01 /EN (ISO-7396-1)/DIN/CE Certified (CE 0482) . The panel shall be 100% digital and shall not require re-calibration. The panel shall be able to interface with building management systems with the use of either an Ethernet Modbus interface or a BacNet interface or RS-485 Transmission. The audible alarm may be silenced by pressing the alarm silence button, but the visual alarm indicator can only be cancelled by fault correction. 38 18.02 The master alarms should be capable to monitor from 10 to 30points in a standard box or 10 to 50 points in a large box.
