Rate Contract For Concertina Coil , Punched Tape Concertina Coil Wire Spiral Of 50 Turns Having Core Wire Of High Carbon Spring Steel Of High Tensile Strength And Low Carbon Steel Strip Of 19 Mm Wide , 0 . 5Mm Thick Having Series Of Sharp Barbs Punched All Along The Length Of Both Sides Of Strip At Regular Intervals . The Punch Tap And The Core Wire Should Be Electro Galvanized To Provide Protection Against The Outdoor Exposure . The Punch Tap Should Be Mechanically Crimped Over The Core Wire And Then Formed Into A Coil . At Various Parts Of The Periphery Of The Coil , The Individual Turns Of The Coil Should Be Connected To Each Other By Steel Clips So That It Can Be Opened Up Like An Accordion . Two Handles And One Spike Should Be Provided At Each Side Of The Spiral To Facilitate Ease Of Handling . The Length Of The Obstacle Formed B Y The One Coil When Opened Should Be 15 M With An Effective Height Of 915 Mm . Weight Of One Concertina Coil Should Be 15 . 2 Kg +- 5% . Each Coil Should Be Wound With Bituminized Hessian Cloth To Provide Protective Packing .
