Manning And Operation Of Water Supply Installation At Joshimath Under Ge 871 Ews , notes for item sl nos: 1 to 3 ( a ) maintinance of rectification of faults / complaints and replacement of fittings/fixtures and maintaining complaint cell with and including maintenance of necessary records like compliant register , compliant slips , store issue register , iv/rv register , gate pass book , demolition register , scrap register etc complete resposibility of contractor and complete installation with equipments in serviceable condition will be handed over to the contractor for the manning and operation . the as below conditions shall be followed by the contractor while operating the water supply and pump house installations . ( b ) the rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of the cost of complaint slips , registers and cost of t &p for maint work , area of cleaning and maintenance of pump houses , sub stations , tank and including earth pits and pruning of tree branches and minor consumables such as clips , nut and bolts etc for day to day maintenance . ( c ) the rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of providing mobile communication system in the complaint cell so that the complaint can be lodged and feed back can be obtained . ( d ) stores/fitting/fixtures shall be issued by the department for replacing unserviceable fittings/fixures viz gi pipes/fittings , gland packing , greese , oil , gate valves chlorination chemical etc where required at no extra cost to the department . to the extent available in the stores . ( e ) the contractor has to supply uniform to their employees for wearing during the working hours . the unit rate is deemed to include for the uniform . the uniform shall be in blue colour pant and shirt . the pattern of the uniform shall be as decided by the engineer-in-charge . ( f ) technician/employees employed by the contractor will not work contineously for 07 days . the employees worked for six days contineously should be given one day off with payment as per the contract labour act as referred in condition 58 of iafw-2249 . ( g ) the contractor is responsible for maintenance of compliant cell the compliants to the individuals under consultation with concerned je e/m . ( h ) the contractor is responsible for submitting the doccuments of qualification/experience certificates of technicians to be employed before comencement of work . ( j ) the operator should be iti qualified from any recognised institute and between 18 yrs to 60yrs of age and shall be responsible for the operation ( k ) operating the control valve of main supply from the receiving source in collection chamber and cleaning the chamber at time to time as directed by engr-in-charge/je e/m and removal the deposite meterial away from the site incl operation of alum dozer . ( l ) checking and watching for leakage break down of receiving pipe from main source/supply/distribution pipe line complete inside the water point complex and inform immediate to engr-in-charge . ( m ) no shift duty person will leave the duty place without releiver . if any person found absent form duty place while checking by the je concerned or any higher authority at any time , absent will be marked in attendance register and penalty should be recovered from the payment as specified . ( n ) the contractor will be responsible for any damage to the installation/plant due to the mishandling of the equipment , he will make good the same at his own risk and cost . decision regarding responsibility of the fault/damage will be decided by ge , his decision will be final and binding . ( o ) the contractor supply and maintain the log book for pump sets/record of water supply system , attendance register , chlorination record register , in take chamber cleaning/wash out record , sedimentation cleaning record filter bed back wash record , pure water tank wash record , break down record register and maintenance register of water source . the cost of stationery shall be quoted while quoting the rates .
