2 2 Conducting Topographic survey- (as per clause 4.2 of RFQ) Topographic survey true to ground realities to be done using precision instrument like Total Station and bringing the original data in native instrument format and also in .dxf format as approved by PMU. The field codes used shall be as prescribe by PMU. PMU intends to engage a model based design procedure for these projects. Hence the interval of pick points in field shall be such as to represent the true surface of the existing entity. The cross directional extend shall go 1m beyond either boundaries of the Right of Way or as directed by the PMU officials. The maximum longitudinal interval between cross point sections shall be 15m or a drop or rise of 0.5m whichever is less. Pick points should invariably include center and existing pavement edge points at a minimum interval of 15m in straights and 5m in curves. Temporary bench marks [Control Points] are also to be established at 450m intervals on pre-cast concrete pillars as per IRC. In addition to this one additional control point near to these established TBM shall also be established in a permanent object available in site as per direction of PMU officials such as to enable a resection operation at a later time. In house standards, work procedures, and quality plan prepared with reference to IRC SP 19-2001, IRC SP 20, IRC SP 13 and current international practices to be followed during survey. Details of utilities including electric utensils, water supply lines/ street taps and telephone lines/ post are also to be collected as part of the topographic survey. 3 3 In-service evaluation of Pavement (as per clause 4.3 of RFQ)\nThe strength of the existing pavement layers (Granular and Subgrade) are to be assessed by performing the following experiments. Irrespective of the experiment, a minimum of two replicates of test data should be taken per kilometer. The minimum requirement is also applicable for roads having a length less than 1 km.\n• Dynamic cone penetration (DCP) test for granular layer as well as for subgrade soil. \nFor performing DCP test on the granular layer, the existing bituminous surface has to be scarified in the dimension of 0.5 x 0.5m. After ensuring a level surface, DCP test has to be performed, for a minimum of 150 mm penetration.The penetration v/s blows data are to be plotted and DCP slopes for both the layers are to be reported.\n• Field density test has to be carried out using Sand Replacement test for granular as well as for subgrade. \n• It is also necessary to collect sufficient subgrade soil for performing CBR test at the following conditions. \no At in-situ water content and field density(This has to be carried out only for 50% of samples of total test sites awarded to the Consultant)\no Four day soaked CBR value of specimen prepared at OMC and compacted to of Maximum dry density \nApart from the above investigation, Attemberg limits (as per BIS 2720 (part 5)-1985, and the gradation of materials used in granular layers – base and subbase (if provided), and of the subgrade soil are to be assessed as per BIS:2720(part 4)-1985. \n BI01010001010000000000000515BI0100001115 198 km
4 4 Preparation of DPR report (as per clause 4.4 of RFQ)using the template accepted by PMU. Relevant details can be taken from the reconnaissance data, finalized drawings, approved designs, testing reports and PMU engineers. Bill of Quantities and cost estimates based on approved design with respect to current schedule of rates of Government of Kerala using MoRD/MoRTH data and specifications, including cost items for any site specific necessary safety, health and environment measures.
