1 1 Civil Work: Supply of all materials, labour, equipments, tools and plants required for open excavation, design and construction of circular RCC dry intake well cum pump house of 6.0 m internal diameter, 14.0 m (including 4.0 m height of pump house) depth and construction of pump house in brick work / RCC over the well of appurtenants works with approach bridge. The Intake well cum pump house should be structurally designed by the subject specialists to with stand the seismic effects, Wind and water current forces in Song river complying all the principal details given below. The intake well must be capable of giving minimum 0.75 MLD discharge. It is the responsbilty of contractor to select the suitable site for intake well which is capable of producing the 0.75 MLD discharge in 16 hour per day. Also the intake shall be stand on hard strata in firm ground. Also scouring depth shall have to consider during construction. The 20 mm GI Pipe railling in three rows shall be supported on ISA (40x40x5 ) Angle Iron posts. 1 1 No.
2 1.01 Raft top of the well shall be up to 4.5 m higher than HFL and bottom of well shall be 1.00 m from max. scour depth of the lowest water level of the Song river as per the decision of Engineer-in-Charge and designer’s suggestions. 2
3 1.02 A collecting chamber of appropriate size attached structurally with the main Intake Well and having the same depth with the feeding channel / pipe to carry the raw water from river to collecting chamber. 3
4 1.03 The Intake well shall have a 60 cm wide RCC or MS circular stair case with suitable landing and 1.00 m high GI pipe 20 mm railing in 3 rows supported on ISA 40x40x5 angle iron posts. The stair case should be started from deck slab to the lowest foundation beam of the Intake well. 4
5 1.04 Construction of various RCC foundations for installing pumping plants with motors, arrangement of fixing of various valves etc complete. 5
6 1.05 Intake well deck floor slab bottom shall be1.00 m above HFL and steinning wall height shall not be less than 9.5 m high above raft. The slab shall have suitable opening for the inside circular stair case and opening have suitable 1.00 meter high railing of GI pipe 20 mm Ø in 3 rows supported on MS angle iron posts of ISA 40x40x5 for prevention of falling of men and material in the well. 6
7 1.06 1.20 m wide RCC circular balcony around outside the well and 2.00 m wide RCC approach path not less than 1.00 m high on HFL and having GI pipe 20 mm railing 3 rows supported on MS angle iron post ISA 40x40x5 grouted in RCC deck slab. 7
8 1.07 The ceiling of roof slab of Intake well pump house shall not be less than 4.0 m above deck slab and projecting 1.00 Meter outside the pump house wall providing roof over the balcony. The roof slab shall be sloping and should have good architectural look as per satisfaction of engineer in charge. Pump house shall be provided with the following doors and windows:- (a) Entrance 1 No door of size 1.5 m x 2.1 m, (b) 3 Nos windows of size 0.9 m x 1.2 m. The door and windows shall be heavy size “Z” section and windows having outside MS grill of MS squre bar of 10 mm x 10 mm size and opening shall not be more than 10 cm x 10 cm and mosquito proof net and fitting welded on door and windows to the satisfaction of Engineer in charge of work. 8
9 1.08 The structural design of the Intake well shall have a suitable 2.00 m wide and 12 m long span RCC bridge with approach road. Span of the bridge and lenght of approach road may vary as per site requirements for making approach to the Intake well cum pump house including iron gate on entrance. 9
10 1.09 All the expose masonry works shall either be of well plastered or of raised pointing or of ornamental plastering as per direction of Engineer in charge of work. 10
11 1.1 Pump house and Intake well shall be painted with two coats of approved quality and shade of apex or equivalent quality exterior paint over one coat of suitable primer and railing/ MS posts shall also be painted with approved quality and shade of two coats of anti corrosive enamel paint over one coat of approved quality primer. 11
12 1.11 All necessary arrangements for dewatering during construction, diversion of river and necessary safe guards against flood shall be done by the contractor at his own cost and risk and no extra payment shall be made for these appurtenant works. 12
13 1.12 The detailed structural design of the Intake well cum pump house showing all the details shall be supplied in 3 copies by the contractor within 21 days of acceptance of tender. The contractor shall be bounded to supply any other information asked for in respect of the above, failing which his tender will be liable to be rejected and earnest security deposit shall be forfeited. The contractor shall also give reference of all the relevant IS/BS codes, which ever and where ever applicable in the design and also other clarifications as and when asked for. 13
14 1.13 Variation in rates of item no. 1 (1.01 to 1.13) above for variation in depth of RCC Intake well. 14
