The primer shall be allowed to dry until the solvent evaporates and the surface becomes tacky.\niii) Pypkote AW 4mm tape is wound around the pipe in spiral fashion and bonded completely to the primer coated surface of the pipe by thermo fusion process and with recommended overlaps as per manufacturers’ specifications. Width etc.\nNote: -\na. Design: IFR shall be designed to safely support walking of 2 men over deck. Buoyancy required to support at least twice its dead weight plus additional buoyancy to offset the calculated friction exerted by peripheral and penetration seals during filling. \nDesign calculations shall be based on product specific gravity = 0.7\nAluminum load carrying members, assemblies and connections shall comply with the design requirements of the latest edition of the “Aluminum Design Manual: Specification for Aluminum Structures,” as published by the Aluminum Association, Inc. (Washington, DC)\nb. Joint Design: All seams in the floating roof exposed directly to product vapor or liquid shall be welded, bolted, screwed, riveted, clamped, or sealed and checked for vapour tightness.\nc. As per gazette notification: IFRT shall be provided with double seals with minimum vapour recovery of 96%. Primary seal shall be vapour mounted for IFRT. As per API 650 Peripheral Vapour mounted rim seals are to be provided as under :\nSeal positioned such that it does not normally contact the surface of the stored liquid.\nd. Roof penetrations: Columns, ladders and other rigid vertical appurtenances that penetrate the deck shall be provided with a seal.\nAluminium Internal Floating Roof System should have all the features including the following :\n1. Thickness of Aluminum Sheet of Deck should be minimum 0.6 mm and design point load should be minimum 750 PSF.\n2. Pontoon centre to centre spacing should be 3000mm and deck sheet holding structural members centre to centre spacing should be 1440mm.The annular space between shell and the peripheral section to be 160mm.\n3. 34 34 Dismantling of MS plates in bottom, shell & roof of CRVT/FRVT/IFRVT tanks either partly or in full as directed, by gas/hacksaw cutting from the existing weld seams & removing the MS plates from the tank by mechanical means, with utmost precaution and neatly straightening and storing at place indicated by site engineer anywhere in IOC premises, complete, irespective of lead and lift as directed. The rate includes the cost of labour, gases, providing necessary temporary supports, safe walk ladder, safety precautions etc., all necessary equipments, all necessary structures, clamps, suitable non-combustible material wedges, etc. complete to the satisfaction of site-in-charge. Plan area and average thickness of roof plates will be considered for calculating the qty of dismantled plates, and weight of appurtenances will not be considered seperately, and no extra payment for the same will be made. \nNote: Contractor has to submit the dismantling methodology clearly stating the restraining techniques to be involved so that circularity of the undamaged shell plates remains undisturbed, prior to commencement of work and has to get it approved from IOCL. Plates and structures, apputenances should be dismantled with utmost care as these are to be reutilised. itemcode 34 1.5 TON
35 35 HYDRO-TESTING OF TANKS: \nCleaning of tank after hydrotest, boxing up of tank after completion of all works & inspection, including supplying and fixing gasket along with bolts & nuts confirming to IS 1363 & 1367 and washers of approved quality . Job includes all Man holes , Nozzles,Inlet /outlet valves, water draw off valves etc. complete & as per instruction at site.\nWater required for the hydro-testing of tank shall be provided by IOCL within terminal premises or paid for separately as per water supply item in this contract. \nWater conveying pipes, water pumps, all material and labour, as required shall be arranged by the contractor Including providing rubber gasket for hydrotesting. 36 36 FABRICATION, ERECTION & WELDING OF MS PLATES FOR REPAIR OF EXISTING CR/IFR/EFR VERTICAL TANKS FOR PRODUCT/WATER STORAGE: \nItem includes replacement of bottom, annular, shell & roof plates in existing tank. It also includes replacement of shell manhole reinforcement plate & wind girder plates. All other items such as labour, equipment, power, consumables etc shall be supplied by contractor. 37 37 CALIBRATION OF TANKS:\nItem includes bottom calibration with actual physical measurement by water meter till datum plate & calibration of tank shell by strapping periphery of different strakes above and below the horizontal weld joints OR by "Optical Reference & Line Methodology" method.\nIn case, the calibration is done by strapping method, double stage scaffolding with MS structures / pipes is also included in this item.\nItem includes cost towards statutory payment to be made to the authorities and all other incidental costs.\nItem includes preparation & submission of calibration charts in quadruplicate duly approved by the tank calibration authority.\nWater required for the calibration till datum plate shall be provided by IOCL within terminal premises or paid for separately as per water supply item rate in this contract. \nHandling of water for calibration till datum plate level including provision of water conveying pipes, water pumps, all material and labour, as required shall be arranged by the contractor & is inclusive in the rate. 38 38 Supply, handing and fabrication of Peripheral circulation vents as per drw no. IOCL-HO-IFR-RV-01 and shall be located on the tank roof (unless otherwise specified by the Purchaser of IFR) and meet the requirements of H.5.3.3 of design code of API 650 APPENDIX , so that they are above the seal of the internal floating roof when the tank is full. The maximum spac- ing between vents shall be 10 m (32 ft), based on an arc measured at the tank shell, but there shall not be fewer than four equally-spaced vents. The venting shall be distributed such that the sum of the open areas of the vents located within any 10 m (32 ft) interval is at least 0.2 m2 (2.0 ft2). These vents shall be covered with a 3 mm corrosion-resistant aluminium plate.
