These plans shall include detailed shop drawings including step wise methodology/procedure adopted for fabrication, testing and transportation of various structural steel components of bridge superstructure. While preparing the plans due consideration shall be given to site conditions e.g. hydrology, rainfall, flood timings & intensity, soil & sub-soil conditions in the river bed & banks, maximum water depths, temperature & climatic conditions, available working space & time etc. The availability & capacity of various plants, tools, machinery, equipment etc. shall also be given due consideration while preparing the fabrication plans.Providing fresh calibration certificates and charts of various plants, tools, equipment etc. wherever applicable.Keeping all the safety provisions during fabrication and transportation of the structure.Testing of all equipment, machinery, tools, tackles, ropes etc. to ensure their efficient working. Keeping suitable arrangement as per the directions of the Engineer-in-charge to inspect any component before, during and after transportation of the structure.Sand blasting on materials/structural element (wherever required), surface preparation, application of primer & various coats of internal and external painting in fabrication shop as per the Specifications & directions of the Engineer-in-charge.
