8 8 Providing, laying, jointing and testing of MSERW pipe (Zinc Coated) of Jindal/Surya./Roshni/TATA make with 80% circumfertianal butt welded joints and 20% flangted joints of total length by electrical arc welding (Weld thickness shall be equal to pipe wall thickness) confirming to BIS/ISO 3183-2007 of steel compressed with upto date ammendments for the following pipe diameter heaving wall thickness and flanged table as specified below and capable of required test pressure in a random length of 5.5 to 6.5 metre including cost of manufacturing/fabrication of reducers/tapers, all short pieces, bends parent tubes as per the requirements. The laying of pipe, whereever required shall include flanged joints dully welded in three layers (Two at outer side) at suitable spacing as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. (Earth work in trenches and the cost of providing flanges including nuts and bolts to be measured and paid for separately) and all operations such as cutting and welding, jointing, fabrication of bends, tees, i.e. lowering and laying in trenches to ensure required level including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respect shall be carried out to the entire satisfaction. The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts having its radius not less than five times the dia of pipe and the pipes shall be factory coating both inside and out side as per relevant IS standard and the damage portion of the pipe and specials (if damage during laying, jointing made from the parent tube, shall be provided anticorrossive treatment by applying two coats of anticorrossive bitumenous paint over a priming coat specifications C-203-1978. The welding electrodes shall be as per IS 814 of Advani Oerlikon/L&T or ISI marked make. 20 11 Manufacturing, laying and jointing and testing of mild steel flanged bends of all degrees of MSERW pipes, manufactured from parent tubes as mentioned above with three or four cuts of radius not less than 5 pipe dia with welding of all pipes as per relevent IS-codes. The flanges shall be conforming to IS 6392-1971 various table (with upto date amendments). The welding should done on both faces to make the joint leak proof according to relevent BIS standard and specification. The nuts and bolts of required sizes, 3mm thick compressed asbestos fiber gasket or synthetic rubber gasket should be confirming to relevant BIS codes. The bends shall have glass fibre tissue wrapoping out side as per IS 10221-1982 and IS 7193-1974 saturated with coaltar/asphalt enemels and side epoxy/asphalt lining complete in all respect. (The earth work in trenches to be measured and paid for separtely) The bends shall be so fabricated that internal dai of pipe does not get reduced and not more than 11¼ deflection is caused with a single cut, including carriage of materials within all leads and lifts.
