Fixing should be done using 16 gauge hollow aluminium channel of 25x50 mm (filled with hardwood) at an interval of 450 mm as specified and approved by Engineer-in-charge. It should be fastened on the floor on which deckwood is screwed from the top. 2 coats of sleekbase should be applied after installation. The rates are inclusive of initial one year of maintenance to be carried out by the agency at his own cost. 171.09 sqm
7 7 Schedule - 'B' Regular maintenance of IPE (Tabebuia) Decking for five year, applying sleek base every six month with repairs of wooden surface wherever required i/c cost of material, labour and miscellenious expancies like screws, adhesive, IPE plank, aluminium channel etc. (i) Maintenance of Decking for the second year after initial one year of maintenance carried out by the agency at his own cost. 171.09 sqm
8 8 (ii) Maintenance of Decking for the third year. 171.09 sqm
9 9 (iii) Maintenance of Decking for the fourth year. 171.09 sqm
10 10 (iv) Maintenance of Decking for the fifth year. NOTE :- (i) The maintenance of IPE (Tabebuia) decking for initial one year after actual date of completion of work shall be carried out by the agency at his own cost. The Second year maintenance period as per the schedule shall be reckoned after expiry of one year of maintenance period. (ii) The maintenance include applying sleekbase every six month or whenever require as per direction of Engineer in charge with repairs to the wooden surface whever required. (iii) The maintenance include replacement of wooden planks & rectified of any others defects observed as per direction of Engineer in charge except. a) Due to force majeure or. b) Serious loss or damage by fire or c) damage due to Act of God or d) any other cause which is the absolute discretion to the Engineer-in-Charge is beyond the contractors as theft of any parts. (iv) It will be the responsibility of the agency to bring the decking in proper working condition if agency fails to bring the wooden deck in proper working condition within 7 working days after receiving the complaints, the agency shall pay Rs. 100/- per day to the department as a compensation or will be deducted from the agencies bill. (v) Completion of the work for schedule 'A' shall be recorded after its actual completion at site and proportionate security deposit shall be released after completion of one year maintenance period. (vi) Supplementry agreement shall be framed for period the maintenance work of five years. 171.09 sqm
