Excavation in OB in all kinds of soil including mixed soil, mixed hard soil i.e. clay/ soil mixed with pebble., moorum, hard moorum, soil mixed with laterite /stone boulders etc. and rock, soft or hard at any depth by mechanical means including drilling, using suitable blast hole drilling machine, Charging and blasting ( blasting shall be done by Deptt. free of cost. Supply of explosives, detonators & related materials will be made available by ECL and the services of statutory supervisory personnel as required for the work will be provided as and when considered necessary by the management free of cost ) as required at any depth and loading by mechanical means including pumping out water & discharging the same to the nearest Drainage system & removal of slushy earth and slurry as required, transporting and unloading mechanically and disposed off either by (a) dumping outside the working zone in proper manner on the land arranged by the colliery or (b) directly back filling of the excavated area in proper layer or (c) filling of subsided area / voids in the adjoining area outside the working zone in operation or as perdirection of colliery official in proper gradient including dozing, the job involves making access trench / haul road as required for excavation operation and for transportation of excavated materials etc. all complete as per direction of Project Officer/ Agent. (Payment shall be made for finished work on the basis of pre-work and post-work level section measurement of excavation. All measurements of O.B. removed will have to be certified by Colliery Surveyor , Manager and Project Officer / Agent. Joint check measurement on quarterly basis shall be done by Area authority, contractor and ECL HQ team). Carriage lead 0-1 KM.

(a)Wining / extraction of running of mines coal in benches from available coal seam at any depth including using suitable blast hole drilling machine, charging and blasting ( blasting shall be done by Deptt. free of cost. Supply of explosives, detonators & related materials will be made available by ECL and the services of statutory supervisory personnel as required for the work will be provided as and when considered necessary by the management free of cost ) (b) loading of coal free from extraneous materials into dumpers / tippers mechanically at coal face , including pumping out water & discharging the same to the nearest drainage system, removal of slushy earth / slurry and removal / segregating / picking of unwanted band stone / extraneous materials and (c) Transporting the same to Rly.Siding, unloading and stacking in regular stacks. The job also involves making and maintenance of access trench / haul roads required for extraction and transportation of coal including water spraying stock yard management by dozer etc. The entire operation of extraction & transportation of coal is to be carried out as per direction of Project Officer / Agent. (Colliery authority will establish a permanent benchmark at the quarry site and surface contouring at suitable intervals in consultation with Area authority, Hq. Survey Deptt.. All measurement are to be carried out in relation to the benchmark.) (Payment is to be made on the basis of the measurement of in-situ volume solid converted to weight by conversion factor specific to the seam coal subject to quarterly reconciliation of coal received by weight at despatch point as specified. Measurement is to be certified by Colliery Surveyor, Manager, Project Officer / Agent . Joint check measurement on quarterly basis shall be done by Area authority, contractor and ECL HQ team). (a)Carriage lead exceeding 4 km but not exceeding 5 kms.**
