The cost for the above items including all type of tools and plants / any type of vehicle / earth moving plant / hitchi / JCB as required at site is deemed to be included in unit rate quoted for above items. (ii) The contractor shall take due care while executing the work (i.e non damage of electrical cable, telephone cable, water supply pipe line etc) during execution of work if any fault / cutting occurred shall carry out repair immediately and cost of the same shall deemed to be included in quoted rates. (iii) During execution of work if any liaison required for laying of pipe at site, from civil Administative department, local people gram panchayat, police station etc are the sole responsiblity for contractor. The contractor shall not claim and financial liabilities on this matter on bills. (iv) The cost of necessary encasing of pipe in culvert shall deemed to be included in this quoted rate all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. 12 All as per Item No.10.00 above but depth above 3 Mtr all as directed by Engineer in ChargeNote : (i) The rate is deemed to include cost towards tools and plants and transportation required for attending the repair work. (ii) The rate deemed to inclusives of soil additional required to refilling/ making bunds to prevent sea water entering into the work place complete.(iii) The cost of pipes, specials, Tyton/lead joints shall be measured and paid seperatelyunder relevent item of this schedule. 13 M&L for detecting and repairing leakage in CI/DI pipe lines of size 250/200 mmbore, taking up unserviceable /serviceable CI/DI water main with spigot and socket ends (including fittings) of any type/grade and joints from trenches and layingnew CI/DI pipe lines of size 300 mm bore in trenches or placing on existion pillers /supports as directed to perform the following activities :-(a) Execution and earth work in soil / mud by using machinery/labour to suitable length (Appx 10 mtrs) and forming bund with excavated soil to avoid sea / row water entering into the working area including pumping/bailing out water by using portable desal engine driven pump set. Contractor is responsible to ensure that the labour employed should be equipped with safety items like industrial helmet, safety belt, extensible ladder of 40 feet length, plumbing and cuttings tools, etc. 88 (c) The cost of rethreading of GI pipes of 25mm dia and adding of new GI nipple of suitable length after rethreading is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 89 (d) Due to shortage of water in the station, the repair work and testing required under this item need to be carried out during water supply distribution hours i.e. 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM. Nothing extra shall be permitted in this regard. 90 (e) The cost of repair to the damages of cemented surfaces/ external finishes/ metal clamps of rising pipes are also deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 91 (f)In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 6 hrs after handing over routine/urgent complaints, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty clause given here as under. 92 (g)If the delay is more then 06 hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 100/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor.
