(Tester should be calibrated from Authorised Company/ Lab). 76 (vi) Contractor will be responsible for pouring of water in the Earth Pits Weekly at their own arrangement with Water Tanker, etc. (water will be provided by the contractor at his own arrangement and nothing extra will be admissible). 77 (vii) Checking of Earth Pits existing and improve it by watering / adding a layer of Salt/ Magnesium Sulphate/ Charcoal, etc. 78 (viii) Contractor will be responsible for marking of Earth check date and due date on existing Plate with paint as specified by Engineer-in-Charge. 79 (ix)Contractor will be responsible for cleaning of bushes and grass all around upto 1.50 Metre Area of existing Earth Pit with tightening of Strip. 80 (x)EP No should be mentioned on individual earth pits and ER value of installation etc all as specified and directed by Engr In Charge. 81 (xi)It will be the responsibility of the contractor to liase with Station authority to obtain security pass as per station rules for entering/ working in high security tech area. 82 Checking of any breaking in the link of earth strip wire of Galvanised/Copper/Aluminium Strip any size and jointing them by Exothermic Welding or Brazing including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and as directed. 83 Attending unserviceable/ non-functional street light complaints (for street light/perimeter lights/high mast light/flood light etc of any type/size fitted on poles/walls/post/pillars etc)by deploying technically qualified and experienced technicians to find out defective/taking out unserviceable parts such as electronic driver, PVC insulated copper conductor cable for connecting street light fittings etc and repairing by changing the defective parts including minor repair to cable connection/loose connection, screws, nuts & bolts and insulation tap to insulate the LT joint etc and testing complete all as specified and as directed for domestic area of old Kalpa colony, new Kalpa colony, Mehra colony, MAP qrts, Akash enclave, Gulmohar enclave, Kiran enclave, MES colony, AFWWA, various connecting roads and other facilities such as shopping complex/ various institutes/ messes/ play ground, complete perimeter etc located in complete domestic area andtechnical area at AF Station Sulur 84 Note for item No 83 :- The following items are deemed to be inclusive of quoted rate :- 85 (a)The above job shall be carried out by a trained electrician having ITI in electrical, documentary proof of the education of tradesman shall be produced before commencement of work. 86 (b)Supply only items to be delivered/ supplied to AGE E/M store yard as per qty asked by Engineer-in-Charge with in one calendar month from the date of commencement of contract and these items will be issued from AGE E/M store yard for attending unserviceable/ defective street light complaints. 87 (c)Contractor or his Authorised Representative has to inspect all Street/ Security Lights on Daily basis at their own arrangement between 7.00 PM to 9.00 PM and maintain the record in Register which will be put up to Engineer-in-Charge/ JE on the very Next day. 88 (d) A Joint Inspection for Serviceability of all Street/Security Lights will be carried out from 7.00 PM to 9.00 PM on every MONDAY by Engineer-in-Charge/ JE (E/M)/ User along with Contractor or his authorised Representative. 89 (e) Contractor has to arrange own moveable Generatorof suitable capacity for repairing and testing of the Street/ Security Lights, defect rectification of Cables, etc. and to check the serviceability after repair.No Electricity shall be provided by the Department on this account. 90 (f) Quoted Unit Rate shall deemed to be inclusive of attending any breakdown of Street/ Security Lights during night. Contractor has to arrange Electrician and Helper and all necessary T&P and Equipments to remove the breakdown. Fault will be intimated through Telephone/ SMS. 91 (g)In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 12 hrs after handing over routine/urgent work, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty clause given here as under. 92 (h) The penalty shall be applicable to the contractor if the delay is noticed by the Engr-in-Charge more than twelve hrs after handing over works of urgent nature to the contractor. The Engr-in-Chargeshall handover the slip containing specification of work to the contractor by lodging the time and signature of contractor be obtained on slip.The contractor shall attend the complaint immediately and shall report to Engr-in-Charge with in 12 hrs. The contractor will keep his tradesmen in stand by for attending any routine / urgent works from the executive.If the nature of job is such that the work cannot be completed within period of 12hrs then the facts shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Chargeand the period for the working to the complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC. If the delay is more then twelve hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 50/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Dept.The decision of the Accepting Officer is this regards shall be final and binding. 93 (j) Contractor has to ensure serviceability of all Street/ Security Lights of DOMESTIC & TECHNICAL AREA on Daily basis in any Weather Condition at their own arrangement. 94 (k)Contractor shall provide conveyance to the deployed labour for maintaining the services without any extra cost to department. 95 (l)Vehicle mounted ladder for maintaining services shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost to department. 96 (m) Materials requiredfor the repairing of the lights shall be measured and paid separately under respective item(s). But labour required for taking down, dismantling, repairing and replacing parts and reinstalling and testing the street lights fittings shall deemed to beincluded in the rate quoted. 97 (n)Necessary T&P, Safety Belt, Vehicle, Aluminium Ladder, etc. will be arranged by the Contractor and Cost for the same shall deem to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate. 98 (o)All safety measures and provision of all safety devices, first aid box etc shall be provided by the contractor.Contractor will be solely responsible forfull safetyof the persons deployed for providing the services and department will have no liability for any type of accident/injury of any type. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete. 170 (vi) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm shouldbe fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end ( The rate of earthing strip up to7.5 Mtrs is included in the quoted rate). 171 (vii)Testing of earth shall be carriedout in presence ofdepartmental and user representativeand report shall be submitted to Garrison Engineer duly signed by all concern. 172 (viii)Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor.Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab. 173 (ix)Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned.After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained. 174 (x) The contractor shall given a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion. 175 (xi) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including dry or rocky soil. 176 (xii) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is maintained. 177 (xiii) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing per each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor for the guarantee period. 178 (xiv) The electrode shallcarry manufacturers name . 179 (xv) The connection clamp shall be permanently welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss.
