Expression of Interest are invited for Research on Women-Led Climate Startups in Emerging Markets The She Wins Climate research project, led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), aims to generate actionable insights into women-led/owned climate startups in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs). This initiative supports IFCs Inclusive Climate Program and addresses a critical data gap by mapping the presence, performance, and challenges of early-stage climate ventures led by women in regions where IFC is implementing the She Wins Climate acceleration programs. Through a mixed-methods approach, the research will explore business models, financing needs, and ecosystem barriers, while highlighting successful strategies and impact pathways. The findings will inform IFCs investment strategies and guide ecosystem actors such as venture capital funds, accelerators, and entrepreneurship support organizations in better supporting gender-inclusive climate innovation.
