The Ministry Of Mining And Critical Minerals (The Ministry) Is Seeking A Qualified Contractor Under This Request For Proposal (Rfp) To Provide Geochemical Laboratory Services To Support The British Columbia Geological Survey (Bcgs) Which Is A Branch Of The Ministry. The Successful Proponent Will Provide Laboratory Analytical Services Using A Wide Variety Of Multi-Element Methods For Quantification Of Lithogeochemical Samples Supplied By The Bcgs. Examples Include, But Are Not Limited To, Research-Quality Major, Trace, And Rare Earth-Element Geochemistry, Base And Precious Metal Geochemistry Including Platinum Group Metals (I.E. Platinum, Palladium, Rhodium, Ruthenium, Osmium And Iridium) And Rare/Trace Metals (E.G., As, Ga, Ge, In), In Both Fresh (Unaltered) And Mineralized (Ore-Grade) Samples. As Geochemical Analytical Techniques Evolve, Bcgs Strives To Deliver The State-Of-The-Art Geochemical Data To The Public. This Is Accomplished Via Both Rigorous Quality Control And Using Optimal Combinations Of Analytical Techniques To Achieve The Widest Range Of Analytes And Both The Lower And Upper Detection Limits Per Element.The Contract For The Geochemical Laboratory Services Will Be In Place For A Period Of Three Years, With An Option To Extend For Two Additional One-Year Periods At The Province’S Sole Discretion.
