The Ucalgary Is Seeking Proposals From Qualified Vendors To Provide A Solution For Sensitive Object Storage. The Intention Of The Rfp Is To Award A Contract To A Proponent Who Submits A Proposal Which, In The Sole Opinion Of Ucalgary Represents The Best Overall Functionality And Value.The Storage Solution Will Include System Hardware, System Software, Initial Deployment And Configuration Support, Hardware Maintenance And Replacement Under Warranty, Software Patching And Upgrades. The Solution Must Include 2 Sites Each With 5 Pb Of Usable Storage After Encryption And Erasure Coding/Redundancy. The Deployed System Must Be Able To Scale To 20Pb Of Usable Storage (Per Site) Without A Substantial Configuration Change. The Solution Must Include A 5-Year Warranty For The System And A 5-Year Support Contract That Includes 24X7 Troubleshooting As Well As Hardware Replacement And Software Fixes As Needed. This Solution Is Being Deployed In Parallel With A Network Refresh. As Such, There Will Be Specialized Requirements On The Client-Facing Switches. The Solution Proposed Must Include All Networking Components That Are Internal To The Cluster, But We Would Prefer That The Client-Facing (Front End) Switches Be Excluded From The Proposal If They Can Be Supplied By The University Of Calgary Instead.The Detailed Business Requirements And It Requirements Are Outlined In The Business Requirements And It Requirements Tabs Within The Proponent Response Workbook – Schedule C. The Rfp Deliverables And Scope Are Stated In Appendix A Of The Rfp Document. The Successful Proponent Shall Be Awarded A Five (5) Year Contract, With An Option To Extend For Two (2) Additional One (1) Year Terms At The Sole Discretion Of Ucalgary.
