Expression of Interest for Independent Panel of Experts (IPOE) for the Implementation of Kakono Hydropower Plant and Transmission Line Project Determination of the similarity of the experiences will be based on: The contracts size; (At least 80 MW Hydropower Project, 220 kV transmission line and 220/132/33 kV substation ) The nature of the Services- Independent Panel of Experts will be mandated to provide an Independent assessment and review of technical (Including dam safety), environmental and social issues associated with the project. The IPOE will provide relevant opinions/recommendation in accordance to the client and Project Financiers. The technical area and expertise Dam Specialist Hydrology and Hydraulic Structure Specialist. Engineer Geologist with gookclinical expertise, Electromechanical Specialist, Environmental Specialist, Social Specialist. The location -Kakono hydropower potential site is located on the Kagera River, North West Tanzania near the border with Uganda, approximately 90 km west of Bukoba Municipality. Kakono is the furthest downstream hydropower potential (run-of the river) site among the potential sites existing on Kagera River.
