The Structural Investigation Is Required To Allow A Detailed Assessment Of The Existing Tom Clarke Bridge Substructure To Be Carried Out. The Investigation Encompasses Specific Areas Of The Bridges Substructure, Including: - Steel Tubular Piles Located At The Bridge Intermediate Piers Gridlines B, C, And E. - Intermediate Pier Concrete. - Bascule Pier Concrete. To Facilitate This Assessment, Non-Destructive Testing (Ndt) Methods Will Be Employed During Dive And Above-Water Level Surveys (The River Liffey Is Tidal With A Typical Range Of 4M Between High And Low Tides). These Methods Will Include Vertical Coring, In-Situ Testing, Laboratory Testing, And The Development Of Both Factual And Interpretive Reports, In Alignment With The Provided Specification. This Investigation Aims To Provide A Detailed Understanding Of The Substructures Condition, Ensuring The Bridge Can Support The Planned Widened Fixed Span Decks And Identifying Any Necessary Structural Interventions.
