Work Detail

High Speed Is Often A Contributing Factor To Fatalities, And Is Of Great Importance For The Extent Of Injury Fatalities. High Speed Is Categorized In The Norwegian Public Roads Administrations Depth Analyzes Of Fatalities In Road Traffic (Norwegian Public Roads Administration No. 1014, 2024) As High Speed According To Conditions, Speed Across The Speed Limit, And Speed Well Above The Speed Limit. High Speed Has Contributed To The Accident Happening In 24 Accidents (25 Per Cent) In 2023. Of These Accidents, High Speeds Have Been Contributed To Conditions In 3 Accidents, Speed Above The Speed Limit In 11 Accidents And Speed Well Above The Speed Limit In 10 Accidents. In The Period 2014-2023, There Have Been An Average Of 33 Accidents Per Year Where High Speed Has Contributed To The Accident Happening, Which Constitutes 32 Per Cent Of All Fatalities On The Road Network. Automatic Traffic Control (Atk) Is A Suitable Traffic Safety Measure In Places Where It Is Especially Important That The Speed Limit Is Met. The Physical Boxes Are Always Notified By Signage, And Have A Speed -Reducing Effect Regardless Of Whether They Are Switched Or Not. The Measure Is Also Special In That It Only Affects The Road Users Who Move Over The Permissible Speed On The Site, And Not Those Who Keep The Speed Limit. Atk Can Therefore Have Influence On Accidents Where Contributing Cause Is Speed Above The Speed Limit And Speed Well Above The Speed Limit, But Not On Accidents Where Contributing Causes Are Too High Speed According To Conditions. The Effect Of Point And Stretch Atk On Accidents In Norway Was Evaluated By The Institute Of Transport Economics (Tøi) In 2014 (Tøi Report 1339/2014 And 1384/2014). Since Then, There Have Been Changes With Regard To Traffic Work, The Road Network And The Use Of Atk. The Ministry Of Transport And Communications Therefore Wants The Evaluation Of The Effect On Accidents When Using Point And Stretching Atk To Be Updated. The Final Deadline For The Agreement Is 1.12.2025. The Estimated Value For The Acquisition Is Nok 1,000,000 Excl. Vat.
