Expression of Interest for Mozambique: Develop and Test Information, Education, Communication (IEC) Materials. Description: The World Bank intends to engage a consulting firm that will (i) map and analyze the pre-existing communication materials detailed above for the communication; (ii) develop and test scripts in the main languages that will form the basis for radio dramas, USSD/IVR messages, and community theater; and (iii) produce the radio dramas and IVRs and evaluate their effectiveness in conveying the intended messages through a combination of pre-testing and evaluation methods. This will include assessing the materials comprehension, appeal, acceptance, engagement, and ability to induce action. Community radio and community theatre are two channels of information and education which can disseminate key messages on key issues relating to health and physical and psychosocial development, particularly of children in early childhood, in a relatively efficient manner. Key messages can also be used by (community) radio to regularly underline the messages of radio dramas and community theatres and can be used in messages to be sent over the telephone network.
