The Maximum Value Of This Contract Award (Including Sub-Consulting Fees For Architect, Structural, And Electrical Disciplines) Will Be$252,800.00 Plus Gst.Vch Has Chosen Not To Conduct A Full Request For Proposal (Rfp) Processfor The Following Reasons: Current Condition At Vghwillow Pavilion The Existing Gas-Fired Boilers At Willow Pavilion Are Discontinued By The Manufacturer. Maintenance And Repairs Have Become More Challenging As Replacement Parts Are No Longer Available. To Avoid Major Failures That Could Lead To An Extended Shutdown Of The Building’S Heating System, Directly Impacting Patient And Staff Safety During The Heating Season, The Aged Boilers Must Be Replaced. The Redesign Of The Heating System Shall Start Immediately To Ensure Continuous Operations. Project Familiarity & Technical Alignment Introba Canada Has Previously Completed The Feasibility And Decarbonization Study For This Project, And Is Familiar With The Site Conditions, Existing Boiler Plant Layout, And Operational Requirements Identified By Vch Facilities Maintenance & Operations (Fmo). Their Continued Involvement Will Enable Technical Consistency, Avoids Onboarding Delays, And Reduces The Risk Of Design Misalignment. All These Are Critical To Meet The Tight Timeline. Proven Collaboration & Efficiency In The Feasibility Stage, Introba Canada Worked Closely With Vch’S Internal And External Partners To Identify Energy Conservation Measures That Reduce Costs. By Retaining Introba’S Design Team And Project Context, The Collaboration Can Be Extended Into The Upcoming Design Development Stage. The Established Relationship Will Streamline Technical Reviews And Coordination And Allow Quicker Decisions And Smoother Integration Of Energy Strategies. Anticipated Completion Timeline Bringing Along Their Project Knowledge And Familiarity Of The Teams Involved, Introba Canada Expects To Complete Design Development By End Of Fall 2025, Allowing Tendering And Procurement To Complete Before End Of 2025, Construction To Start By January 2026, And The New System Installed And Operational Before The Fall 2026 Heating Season Begins.
