The Implementation Contractor Must Be A Forest Professional, Registered And In Good Standing, With Forest Professionals Bc Practicing Within Their Scope.Treatment Includes Tree Thinning And Pruning, Surface Fuel Reduction, And Treatment Debris Disposal By Pile Burning (Completed Concurrently With Treatment Where Conditions Allow) Or Other Methods That Are Proposed. Machine Use (If Proposed By Treatment Contractor) Must Occur On Frozen Ground To Maintain Soil Disturbance Targets And Other Prescribed Treatment Targets. Other Services, Such As Certified Utility Arborist Services And Qualified Professional Bird Surveys May Be Required To Be Completed By The Treatment Contractor, Subject To Worksafe Requirements And Ministry Approval.The Anticipated Term Of This Implementation Contractor Contract Is September 15, 2025 - March 31, 2026, Subject To Timing Of Operational Treatment Activities. The Operational Treatment Contract Is A Multi-Year Term, With An Estimated Contract Term Of September 15, 2025 – March 25, 2029.All Pile Burning And/Or Debris Disposal Must Be Completed By The End Date Of The Fiscal Year (March 31), Subject To Obscr, Thewildfire Act, And Wildfire Regulation Hazard Abatement Requirements. When Possible, Any Pile Burning Should Occur Progressively With The Treatment.Option To Renewthe Contract Contains An Option To Renew Clause Whereby The Ministry Reserves The Right, But Is Under No Obligation, To Renew The Contract For A Further Term Of Up To 12 Months To Perform Implementation Contracting Services For Additional Tus As Determined By The Ministry Representative. This Renewal Is Subject To Funding And Satisfactory Performance By The Contractor. As Renewal Is Not Assured, Proponents Are Cautioned To Prepare Their Price Based On A Single-Term Contract Only. Should The Option-To-Renew Be Exercised, The Bid Rate Or Bid Price Is Expected To Remain Unchanged In The Subsequent Term Unless, In The Ministrys Sole Opinion, A Negotiated Rate Change Is Warranted.
