The Ministry Of Forests – Northeast Region Is Inviting Proposals From Qualified Environmental Consulting And Agrology Service Providers To Deliver Range Health And Ecological Monitoring Across Nine (9) Designated Community Pasture Range Tenures In Northeast British Columbia.This Contract Is A Key Component Of The Northeast Range Strategy And Supports The Province’S Treaty 8 Obligations By Generating Baseline Data Necessary To Assess The Compatibility Of Livestock Grazing With Indigenous Rights And Ecological Values. The Successful Contractor Will Enable Ministry Staff To Reallocate Capacity Toward First Nations Engagement While Maintaining High Standards Of Rangeland Management Across ~140,000 Hectares And ~40% Of The Region’S Animal Unit Months (Aums).
