The Provincial Health Services Authority (Phsa) Employs Many Union Members Who Are Part Of One Of Six Bargaining Associations. Every Few Years, The Collective Agreements Between Phsa And The Bargaining Association Are Renewed. During This Time, Negotiations Take Place For A New Agreement. In Some Cases, The Bargaining Association Will Call For A Vote For Job Action, This Voting Process Is Estimated To Take Five To Six Weeks. If The Vote Passes, A Notice Is Provided Advising Job Action Will Begin In 72 Hours (From The Time Of The Notice). Job Action May Be Called At Any Point And Go On For An Unknown Period Of Time. Phsa Is Required To Provide Union Members With Headquarters For Scheduling Purposes During Job Action.
