Tenders Are Invited For Operation Of Currency Exchange Counters In The Arrival Lobby Area

Tenders are invited for Operation of Currency Exchange Counters in the Arrival Lobby Area, Bandaranaike International Airport (Bia), Katunayake, Sri Lanka. Bids are invited from Licensed Commercial Banks or Licensed Specialized Banks or Restricted Dealers in Foreign Exchange Business approved by Central Bank of Sri Lanka for the Operation of Currency Exchange Counters in the Arrival Lobby Area at BIA, Katunayake. Five (05) Currency Exchange Counters in the Arrival Lobby Area at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake are on Bid and the prospective bidders may bid for one or more Counters. However, the Successful Bidder will be permitted/awarded to operate only one Counter. In the event, any Bidder wishes to bid for more than one Counter, all bidding should be done in one bidding document accompanied by one Bid Security. Terms and conditions and other details applicable will be issued with the Bidding Documents. Bidding Documents can be obtained on working days from 9.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. from 03rd July 2025 upto 25th July 2025 from the office of Head of Commercial & Properties Division, Room No.37, 2nd Floor, Passenger Terminal Building, Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake on a non-refundable payment of Rs.300,000.00 per set in Cash with a request letter on a letter head of the Bidder. The Bidding Document will be available for inspection free of charge at the office of Head of Commercial & Properties Division of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, BIA, Katunayake. Bids should be made only on bidding forms issued by the Company and should accompany a Bid Security to the value of Rs.10,000,000.00 in the form of Cash Deposit or a Bank Draft or a Bank Guarantee issued by a Licensed Commercial Bank or Licensed Specialized Bank operating in Sri Lanka approved and supervised by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, valid for 150 days from the date of Opening of Bids. Accordingly, Bank Draft or Bank Guarantee shall be valid from 28th July 2025 upto 24th December 2025 (inclusive of both days). Bidders are not permitted to submit the Bank Guarantee from their own Bank. A site visit to the location followed by a pre-bid briefing will be conducted at 11.00 a.m. on 16th July 2025 at Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, BIA, Katunayake. Bidders or their duly Authorized Representatives may be present at the pre-bid briefing. Sealed bids shall be addressed to the Chairman, Standing High Level Procurement Committee, Office of Supply Chain Management Division, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake and send by Registered Post or should be deposited in the Box marked as SHLPC placed at the office of Supply Chain Management Division. Bids will be closed at 2.00 p.m. on 28th July 2025 and opened and read publicly at the office of the Supply Chain Management Division, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, BIA, Katunayake. Any Bid received after the stipulated time of bid closing will be rejected unopened. Bidders or their duly Authorized Representatives may be present at the time of opening of Bids.
