For more information on the Binational Program, please visit: https://worldservice.lutheranworld.org/where-we-work/colombia-and-venezuela Description of the area to which the service is circumscribed The Service subscribes to the Financial Area of the LWF Colombia Venezuela Program, which is led by the Management of Financiero Binacional, responsible for the coordination, planning, organization, analysis and assurance of an efficient and effective programmatic operation of the FLM/SM COL- VEN and the projects developed, from the higher institutional objectives preserving its mission and vision. It coordinates its activities with: Field Leader Delta and Sucre (East) Financial Officer and Project Accountant Project team in Delta Amacuro and Sucre Administrative, financial and programmatic team in Venezuela. Location Based in Sucre - Venezuela. However, you must be available to travel within the country and/or where it is required to carry out the activities inherent to the Service. Purpose of the service Substantially support in planning, organizing, coordinating and ensuring an efficient and effective recording and analysis of all accounting processes of the FLM Program Venezuela Program and its projects Description of the activities: MANAGEMENT Responsible for recording and accounting for income operations, expenses, accounts receivable and paying depreciation, etc. Record project financial operations in a reliable and timely manner Organize and keep up to date the accounting and financial files in physical form and the electronic file. Perform bank reconciliations. Theoretical and practical knowledge, in ISLR, VAT withholdings. Accounting adjustment when applicable (monthly frequency) Process invoices ensuring all information is accurate and timely. Knowledge of the invoicing regulations according to the administrative order of the SENIAT. Review travel and travel allowances and provide corresponding feedback. Prepare payment requisitions and prepare batches at the bank for payment authorization. Prepare cash receipts, electronic payments, receipts of expenditure, receipts of causation, adjustments, etc. Support the analysis of accounting accounts, providing alerts and providing solutions and improvements Support the control and monitoring of accounting accounts and conversion to IFRS. To support the processes of theoretical-practical training in accounting knowledge for the LWF VE Staff Support the preparation of all financial and administrative reports and processes that must be reported on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to grantees, donors and parent company and compliance with donor, project and LWF VE regulations. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure the effective implementation of the LWF security policy and ensure the implementation of the LWF Codes of Conduct and other institutional policies within the framework of the project Strictly comply with the procedures, manuals, policies of the FLM/SM-CO. Professional Requirements Level of Education Technicians or students in the last semesters of undergraduate accounting, economics, administrative and/or related careers are required. Work Experience Demonstrable experience of at least one (1) year in accounting and administrative functions related to the position. Experience of one (1) year of successful actions in highly complex projects is desirable. Desirable work experience in Sucre. Languages and office automation It is essential that you read, speak, and write in Spanish, either as a mother tongue or as a proven advanced fluency. Excellent handling of electronic sheet, word processors, internet and office tools.
